7. A 700-word personal essay about an object that makes me feel nostalgic. But it also needs a thesis and arguments, as well as using powerful imagery and metaphors to make it sound better. Dx From Friday to yesterday, I got about 195 words and no metaphors in. So today's the last day to finish up the snappy draft that's due tomorrow.

An old portrait of my late grandmother (who died before I was born) that has been carried with our household for as long as I remember. I don't know what to prove about it and how to go about proving it, though.
