I don't think there is selective colour in GIMP then. :|
I know what they're talking about though.
like you pick the color, and mess with it, and it'll like POP and be...the oposite of dull /fail


all i found on google is the thing where the greyscale background and a spot on it is full colour.

Yeah. there isn't anything else except Colour Balance, Hu and Saturation, and Colorize.

Best thing you could do is mess with Colour Balance, or duplicate the stock and mess with the layer modes some

Curves is another way to enhance the color, yes.
