I've always considered ''slice of life'' shows to be somewhat, you know, a slice of life. Life tends not to have ghosts, magic, giant monsters that just happen to be manifestations of the anger of a high school girl, a high school that is God none the less.

There are other shows which are grounded in a lot more reality that I also wouldn't call slice of life. Things like Nodame Cantabile, Hanasaku Iroha and Toradora, I would simply call those drama, romance or whatever.

So I guess, by that definition, I haven't seen a single slice of life, eh? That makes me sad. ;____; Any good slice of life shows according to you, lappy? Ones that should definitely be seen at least once.

I consider those shows a mixture of various genre btw. Slice of life being a part of those that make them up.

K-On! is not amazing but Mugi is wonderful. 100% waifu material.

Just went to the shop to buy sweets. inb5 no trick or treaters again this year. Apparently living in the same building as a drug dealer scares parents off a little.

I would imagine that is because you are older than 12. At 18 you should probably be on your way out to a crap nightclub full of 15 year old skanks dressed as ****ty bumblebees.

Well, if all slice of life series are like the moeblob crap that is K-On! then you're right. I'd probably hate them all. I'd give those three a shot sometime soon, though, so thanks. The next one imma watch after clannad is nichijou, though. That one...it appeals to me for no reason. But I just liked what I saw of it in an amazing amv, I guess. It looks ridiculously fun and the art style is to my liking.

And lawl, i see, phillip. You knew I hated that abomination. :p

also, does clannad get more emotional as the story goes on? I heard it is sad as heck and I've already cried a few times seeing fuko's arc. I worry that I might cry loudly if things escalate too much. I mean, I could stop myself from shedding too many tears now but if this series gets more emotionally engaging and/or depressing...idk what i will do.

The ones I suggested have a lot more substance than than K-On, although if you don't hit it off with the comedy in Hidamari I don't think you will like it. The other two only have comedy as a sub-genre.

Nichijou is great, that and Hyouka are KyoAni's best shows.

If you cried during Fuko's arc you'll probably end up suicidal during After Story.

That's all I need. More substance to the plot. I don't care if there's any supernatural element or not, all I want is the plot to be something I could get invested in. Or, if it doesn't have too much of a plot/stupid one, it should be funny as hell. Kill la Kill has a stupid-ish story but I'm enjoying it a lot more than most shows because I love the comedy. And yeah, I've heard about hyouka too. Might check it and nichijou before hidamari, after all.

Oh ****. I don't want do commit suicide. ;___; God damn it, can something really be that sad/moving? I must say, I'm really looking forward to it now.
