So why not have a thread like this based on the Smogon one?

The purpose of this thread is to educate newer players about which Pokemon and sets are good, which Pokemon and sets aren't, and why. This will ultimately lead to a better playerbase. Here is an example of how you should format your responses:

    Do not use:
[PokeCommunity.com] Don't use that, use this.

    Electivire @ Life Orb
    Trait: Motor Drive
    EVs: 56 Atk / 200 SpA / 252 Spe or 140 Atk / 116 SpA / 252 Spe
    Naive Nature

    - Thunderbolt / Wild Charge
    - Flamethrower
    - Cross Chop
    - Ice Punch

    Instead use:
[PokeCommunity.com] Don't use that, use this.

    Kyurem-B @ Life Orb
    Trait: Teravolt
    EVs: 56 Atk / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
    Mild Nature

    - Outrage
    - Fusion Bolt
    - Ice Beam
    - Earth Power

There is almost no reason to use Electivire in OU. Unless you're using SmashPass and want to have some fun, then yeah, that's an excuse. But on a serious team, Kyurem-B is just better. Between its sky-high mixed offenses, much higher defenses, the ability to OHKO Heatran and being an absolute terror to stall, it's a much better mixed attacker than Electivire could ever hope to be. "It's super effective!" does not always equal to a KO! Not to mention its horrible defenses mean it dies to almost anything it can't kill.

    Rules:
    - Don't use this thread just to bash certain Pokemon.
    - Make sure your examples are relevant.
    - Please stay on topic.
    - Make sure to back up your arguments with relevant information. As in more than just a sentence or two.
