Dot.TK....Worth the Ads?

    Is it worth it for me to get a pokejungle.tk URL? I mean....I hate it that they put pop ups, but its easier to remember....=/

    Help? Opinions?
     
    Most people use a popup blocker (Firefox is your friend ^_^), so I would say go ahead.
     
    You can take off the ads from .TK you know.... You just wont be registered to win the .tk tshirt but thats no loss
     
    I hate dot.tk. My ISP blocks it so I can't see any site via their .tk url, so to see the site I have to ask the webmaster (or anyone that may know) what the real link is, and about 90% of the time I can't or don't feel like doing that. :/
     
    yeah i too hate .tk i rather use the long url i used to love .tk but its just a hasle and darn annoying XD (ehhehehe my clean way of saying it)
     
    yeah. its worth the 1 popup.
     
    I like Uni.cc domains better. No ads, free, and you can use them as a domain name for free if your host surports it. But it also does URL forwarding. The only difference between the .tk names and everyone else, .tk has it's own domain. Everything else uses subdomains.
     
    I like .tk theres only one popup, and I have a popup-blocker anyways. So, I use it for my freeweb site and invisionfree board.

    I've used a .tk since the first week they were offered.. i STILL don't have my t-shirt or anything else for that matter... Gimme my t-shirt!

    and for a easy domain, the .tk is worth the one ad (or none ;) ) shown.
     
    if you want a t-shirt or a paid tk domain, just refer people to them.

    Steps to remove .tk ad:

    1. Log-in to my DotTK.
    2. Under the left navigation bar, there is a "Dot TK Linker Promo" link. Click it.
    3. Select the .tk URL from which you wish to remove the ads. CLick the continue icon.
    5. Select the "No Banner" radio button. Click the continue icon.

    It may take a while before the ad is removed. It should be gone in a few hours at most.

    Hehe, I got a .tk domain and when I registered for it I figured that it was pointless for them to send the T-shirt to me since I don't live anywhere near that island.
    DotTK isn't bad, but you might get the occasional hiccups, that means, when it is down. It's working fine now though.
    And if you want to register for the domain you want, do it quick, or else somebody else might just see your thread and do it instead :P

    ...what? Real domains may cost some, but they offer a lot of stuff redirects don't. =/

    I personally despise the .tk. Half of the time they don't load, and it's a pain in the behind to find the person and get the real address.

    And PJ, you could register both ya know.

    I do have the money for paid hosting + a domain name, but I'm a Nintendo Fanboy, so I'm not buying anything to assure myself that I'll be able to get the DS the day it comes out! =/
