hey all, i just wanted to get everyone's strategies on double battles. i have been doing a lot of it lately and i just wanted to see if anyone else had anything to share...
    here's mine:

    • determine which pokemon is more of a threat to you and take it out first.
    • it might be better to go after one pokemon and to take it out minimizing damge you take.
    • try to get 2 on 1 situations whenever you can.
    • special sweepers are more at risk because you can't protect them as much. (I've had bad experience with both Alakazam and Gengar...)
    • Earthquake/Ally Leviate = awesome

my walls (Spiritomb and Snorlax have worked well for me, but they are SO slow.) i normally enjoy a fast game, but my low def. Zam makes him a huge liability.

Yes the Earthquake/Levitate combo does wonders. I have a Skarmory/Metagross duo as my opening move and they totally cursh the opposition. Spikes, Whirlwind and Earthquake make an awesome mix.

    well, how bout this?

Weavile(or togekiss w/ follow me), and Ninjask are sent out first.

Ninjask uses swords dance, and weavile uses fake out on the pokemon more threatening to ninjask (rock types, fire types, electric types etc.)

If ninjask uses swords dance successfully, w/out fainting, it gains a speed boost.

if ninjask is most likely to faint after the first turn, use protect (for speed boost), and weavile is free to attack with the best choice move.

after ninjasks swords dance, 2 speed boosts, you will baton pass to Tyranitar, Metagross, or Salamence.

    ------------------------------------------------

1A : If passed to Salamence, and weavile faints, take out tyranitar. If weavile does NOT faint, weavile needs to be withdrawed for tyranitar.

2A : Tyranitar uses earthquake, totally unaffecting Salamence. Salamence uses a powerful move to crush its foe (after its baton pass :P)

3A : Well why ask? KEEP SWEEPING THEM!

    ------------------------------------------------

1B : If passed to Tyranitar, obviously, send out Salamence.

2B : Tyranitar uses earthquake (or anything that will destroy the opposing pokemon and Salamence uses any attack that will work best (See above really, this one works like Plan "A")

    ------------------------------------------------

1C : If passed to Metagross(this strat could also work for tyranitar, but metagross is better for this), do not swap weavile.

2C : Metagross will sweep, while the weakened weavile shall use protect (once) this turn.

3C : After metagross sweep both using earthquake, make it use explosion, and weavile will switch into dusknoir.

4C : dusknoir will use imprison (it should know earthquake ) to make the opponent unable to use the most feared ground attack.

5C : Tyranitar comes out, even w/out baton pass, earthquake is disabled to help it.

6C : If dusknoir is near death, destiny bond is your option.

7C : Gee, shouldn't you have won by now? :)

Having Slaking and another pokemon that knows Skill Swap. To start off with Skill Swap Slaking ability off it, so it can move freely without its annoying "Traunt" ability and you can then Skill Swap Traunt to your opponents pokemon

Have Ninjask and another Pokemon that Knows Skill Swap. First Have the pokemon knowing skill swap, swap abilities with Ninjask, the skill swap pokemon will have Speed Boost as its ability, then withdraw Ninjask from battle and send out another pokemon and then skill swap with the pokemon you just sent in so it will now have Speed Boost as it ability and become faster each turn.

Another one is you can skill swap Levitate a pokemon thats weak to ground type move.

There are loads of things that you can do with Skill Swap
