Like the title said, I just downloaded Essentials v18.1, and while the Pokemon from gens 6 and 7 are coded in the Pokemon PBS file, their sprites are completely missing. There are no fronts, no backs, no icons. I haven't messed with anything, I simply opened up the playtest, filled my boxes with one of each Pokemon, and nothing else. Can someone tell me what may have gone wrong/how to get those sprites?

That's what's supposed to happen. Essentials only comes with graphics from gens 1 through 5. Gens 6 and 7 don't have official sprites, and as a result, aren't included with the download. You'll have to find alternative graphic packs, like the Smogon sprite projects and the like to make up the difference.

Ok, thanks! I thought that maybe it was just that Essentials didn't come with the sprites, but I just wanted to make sure.

Download the Gen 8 Project. It has everything inside, including Gen 6-8 battler sprites + icons.
