DP 108 Discussion (Spoiler alert)

Dawn: Riolu is the "fighting" type of Pokemon. Not contests. They are good for contests in the GAMES, but remember, this is the anime. They have a difference. 0%

Now says who? Contests in the games are different from the anime. Like I said on top.

No really. Who says Riolu is only for fighting? Even if it's different in the anime what law was said in the anime, manga, or anywhere that

"Riolu can only be used for fighting."?

And I'm sure you don't mean that because he is a "Fighting Type" like Lucario is "Fighting/Steel" he can't do contests. If all non-cute Pokemon types were not allowed in contests where would Harley be? Hell, where would May's Blaziken be? Blaziken is a "fighting type" of Pokemon in both senses of the term your using and is was used frequently in the anime contests.

And who said that good fighting pokemon can't do contests? Fatina is a Gym Leader and does contests. In the anime as well. Wallace was a Gym Leader, now a Champion, and also a Top Coordinator in the anime.

Who says pokemon for 'fighting' cannot be used for contests in anime or games? I don't know what this 'difference' is your getting at besides this unknown law that says "Riolu is a fighting pokemon only.", but I don't see any of that.
You can't be talking about the "Fighting Type" because May's Blaziken does contests in the anime.
You can't be talking about a "pokemon more fit for battles" because some of the Top Coordinators are the top battlers in the game and the anime.
Please clarify what this difference is.

(Just as Lornami says, she'll get it because she hasn't gotten an egg AND Riolu can appeal.)

...I said absolutely no such thing. I said Riolu can be good for contests. I never said I think Dawn should have it. If you looked 'on top' I said I can't see anyone with a Riolu egg, and wished the previous Riolu would return.

Let me answer you ONE BY ONE. Geez... Typing is tiring...

Oh. Oops, looks like I messed up again. I am not such a good reader. Sorry... :t025:

Well, Blaziken didn't appeal. It merely battled. (Fine, fine, I know this is absurd, seeing it evolved after the appeals AND May only appeared in ONE contest after that.) OK, now this is getting confusing. I only said Riolu is not fit for appeals, but not the whole thing itself. I didn't say anything about the battles. (Man, this is taking ages to type...)

Like I said, I was actually talking about the appeals, OK?

Look above. It explains everything. End of speech. I am dismissed.

I don't want anyone to get the egg! (Maybe Jun)
I'm still upset that Satoshi didn't get the Riolu which he had a freaking aura connection with! I mean what cooler pokemon could you get? (Not that I don't adore Gliscor's presence.)

I...Just can't see anyone getting a Riolu because it wouldn't live up to the Riolu we've already seen. It's rare you get Pokemon featured twice.

Oh, that. Well, that Hippopotas in DP appeared TWICE in the anime. Why can't Riolu appear again?

Who said that it can't do appeals either?
Again there is no rule about any pokemon not being fit to do either appeals or battles.
It must be your opinion that it shouldn't do appeals because there is no hard information that says it can't. (no 'It's different in the anime' stuff, that makes no sense.)

Because it was the same Hippopotas. This Riolu would be a completely different one.
Seeing old friends is perfectly fine and encouraged by me, but seeing 'some Riolu' isn't the same as the awesome aura-sharing one.

Hm... It quite makes sense...

Well, maybe Ash would have some connection with the Riolu egg, and Riley would wound up giving it back to him. Then there's gonna be an episode about which Pokemon to bring back... OR Riolu might be sent back instead... (ASSUMPTION, don't get me back with the last argument Lornami and I made. We had an agreement to NOT talk about it anymore- Oops, did I talk about it again? Sorry. I'll shut up from now on.)

OK, end of post. Bye, gotta do HW. Argue about this point if you think it's not making sense or something... :t025: (Pikachu says bye too.)
