Heh, I normally wouldn't be thinking about this, but you see, a few weeks ago my little kitty came jumping up onto a countertop. And what do you think was where she landed? Yeah, my DS. =O

It went crashing to the floor, and its now an SS, aka Single Screen. So, I shall have to be getting a new one along with Diamond & Pearl. And this is the one that popped into my head:

    [PokeCommunity.com] Dp Ds

Tis the one that was released in Japan last fall when they got the games. If I can get it for a nice price, I think it'll be the one to pick. But I'm assuming that it may only be able to play the Japanese version of the game(as I'm pretty sure it wasn't/won't be released in North America).

So I guess the question is, am I right with this assumption, and should I just get a DS at my local EB Games? ^_^

The DS is region free, so it doesn't really matter from which country you get it, you can still play all games on it.
The only thing you have to take a look at is the Power Adapter, as the voltages differ in some countries.

If you have the chance of getting this special version of the DS along with DP, go for it if you really want it.
Though it was just offered for a short amount of time in Japan, so you're lucky if you can find one.

sorry about your DS, and I like how that DS looks like I might even get one of those, do they come in pink and white also?

I realy want taht one, I found one in America £120 £20 more then a ds but worth it, so it will play my PAL games, but show me the link were you can buy it.

I think American and english ds's have the same voltage.

Go for it if you really want it. Luckily, the voltages should be the same, considering you live in Canada. (110-120 Volt for NA and Japan, adaptors will be different though.) It will be hard to find it for a reasonable price, though.

Oooh awesome. I want one! If I didnt already have a DS I'd get one myself. x3
But yeah, I'd go for it, however like Don Patch said, the price is an issue.. D:
It'd probably be a lot more then a regular DS..
