The last team I had was like august PPT make and was pretty uneffective. So I scraped the last team and started over from scratch.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Azelf @ Choice Scarf
    Timid; 252 Spd/252 SpA/ 4 Hp
    -Stealth Rock
    -Trick
    -Fire Blast
    -Psychic

Cross between being suicidal and a trickster 0.o Trick allows it to cripple other leads and is unexpecteed as most would try to taunt or set up stealth rock themselves allowing it to cause a switch. Maybe even getting focus sash from an aerodactyl or other azelfs. Fire blast and Psychic provide decent type coverage and power.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Gyarados @ Life Orb
    Adamant; 252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
    -Dragon Dance
    -Stone Edge
    -Waterfall
    -Earthquake

Late game sweeper and clean up. Has advantages over other sweepers as very few pokemon completely stop it. It's not weak against priority attacks as some pokemon are and it's decent bulk/ typing lets it have easy set ups.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Latias @ Leftovers
    Calm; 252 HP / 116 Def / 112 SpD / 28 Spe
    -Thunder Wave
    -Reflect
    -Wish
    -Dragon Pulse

I cannot figure out who provides the best support/counters. Vaporeon vs Latias. In the end, I choose latias as it's bulk, speed and typing makes it better suited for tanking attacks. Provides nice support for the team.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Infernape @ Life Orb
    Naive; 64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe
    -Nasty Plot
    -Grass Knot
    -Close Combat
    -Fire Blast

Mixed Infernape is just too good. After nasty plot everything will fall prey to it from grass knot or flamethrower. Only downside is that it can only outspeed other pokemon before boosts and gets beaten by speeder pokemon. But still it's good.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Porygon 2 @ Leftovers
    Trace: Bold; 252 Hp/216 Def/40 SpA
    -Recover
    -Thunder Wave
    -Ice Beam
    -Thunderbolt

Provides excellent coverage on late game sweepers and other nuiscances. Only thing I hate would be having to gamble against a salamence that could be either mixed which would destory this or DD which P2 would kill.

    [PokeCommunity.com] DPP (OU) Take 2!

    Heracross @ Choice Scarf
    Guts: Adamant; 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spe
    -Night Slash
    -Megahorn
    -Close Combat
    -Stone Edge

Typical choice banded, status absorbing, powerhouse bug.

The main focus of this team was to go for countering pokemon instead of pure offence. Plus, I think it would be more effective against other teams that would be trick room or weather oriented than a purely offensive team.

HP Ice over Grass Knot for Mixape or else he can't do a thing to Mence/Nite.
I'd go Pursuit over Night Slash as its nice to pick off things as they try to run(*cough*Cresseila).
Looks pretty good and I like the new images :)

EW, then you get owned even more by water types =/

Keep Grass Knot and use Fire Blast >> Flamethower on ape, this way it OHKO's most mence with SR up.

Or just use all out mixape without Nasty Plot which i advise actually HP Ice/Grass Knot/CC/F-Blast.

In addition i advise scarfing that Heracross because if Tyranitar gets in a Dragon Dance you are 6-0'd.

I can agree with the scarf on heracross. I always seem to make a team that is tyranitar weak xD

Why Hp Ice over nasty plot?

You should go Pursuit>>Night Slash to catch stuff that is fleeing.
What does Night Slash even do for that Heracross that Pursuit doesn't anyway?
I would also suggest instant recovery for Latias. So Recover>>Thunderwave since P-2 already cripples stuff.

I've always perferred night slash over pursuit. You never know when the other person will decide to stay in or not. So I'd rather get damage done to them if they decided to stay in, or to damage the switch in rather then risk them staying in and possibly getting the KO or so on me from faulty guess work.

So in other words, night slash is more of an insurance policy for lack of skill in playing pokemon.

And 2 recovery moves on the same pokemon? wish and recovery? Might as well just have one of them.

Also, it was mentioned that porygon2 gets stopped pretty well by other walls. So perhaps toxic over thunderwave and recover over wish for latias?
