    Hi,

I have never put any art on a forum before, so this will be first-time criticism for me, and I hope to get as much of it as I possibly can so I have even hope to improve my work. A lot of it is old and not very good, but if I can see where I have gone wrong them I can work to improve it. Some has been done with a mouse on MSPaint, and it is obvious which one's they are. But, I can asure you good people, all of my art is freehand in one way, shape or form. There has been no tracing or anything.

Thanks for reading, if you did.

All I ask is that you criticise constructively.
No horrible comments for the sake of it, please.

They're mostly really good, but the Batman one was odd and confusing... Who was the other person? you should know I don't know that much about Batman.

Okay, one serving on constructive criticism coming right up!

First of all, you clearly have techical skills. Your lineart is very good and also seems to be neat, although some pictures are a bit too blurry to tell. And, if you have the technical skills, you can also improve greatly by drawing more. So, if you keep with this hobby, you'll keep improving, I guarantee you that. Nothing to criticise with your techincal skills ^-^

Then there are proportions. I spotted some sloppy proportions in your works, for example your Scyther's blades are a tad too small. I have a great hint on how to fix things like that before you colour your work so that they can't be repaired anymore: you should look your drawings from a mirror. That way, you can see your mistakes a lot easier. I learned this trick some years ago and it has been a great help, expecially when drawing a face. You should try it out sometime ^-^ Other than that, it will come with more practice. Spend a while looking at your drawings to detect if something is a bit off. It will have a huge impact on the finished work, so I really suggest you try it out.

The third thing is colouring. I couldn't help but to notice that your coloring is often sloppy. I do that, too, but it has an inevitable effect on the finished artwork, so you shouldn't do that. Always try to be as careful and exact with the colouring as possible for the best possible outcome. Remember to shade and try to colour as evenly as possible. Also, you can try to colour with computer if you can get better pictures or scans of your drawings. Colouring is important, so it's also important not to be haphazard with it. I know this, because I have years of experience in not colouring very well! It's best to learn these lessons as early on as possible.

I hope you don't feel that I'm ranting.

Overall, though, your work is very good. The poses are good and you clearly have imagination, so creativity definitely isn't a problem for you. Remember not to be sloppy - as much as you'd feel like it - and you'll be even better in no time. Not that you have to worry about it much, though, because you're already good. But we all want to get better, right? ;)

That said, I have to note one thing. In the fourth picture - the one with your own character - the girl has a long coat, but it seems to only hang on her both sides. You should continue the hem so that the coat can also be seen behind her legs, like a real coat, right? It looks a bit funny that way. Not a major flaw or anything, just thought I'd say.

    Thank you so much!
And yes, I just noticed that on my picture of my character after looking at it again, I always thought something was a bit odd about it. ^^'.
I will definately try that mirror trick out at some point, and I know my colouring is very sloppy, i'm working on it and I have got better, im better working with pen than pencil.
And as for getting better scans of my pictures, I don't actaully have a scanner, I have to downlad them to my computer from my mobile phone at the moment.
But that's even so much for the criticism and help.
    .^^.

    Thank you very much!
I'm working very hard on getting the details right in my pictures at the moment, and in some of them I do use shading. *Pokes Penguin, Froslass and Suicune*. But I do have to work on getting it into more pictures.
    :)
