Has anyone played it yet? I finally got around to play it.
I was pleasantly surprised by the game. While I anticipate Mass Effect 2 more than I did Dragon Age: Origins this is still an excellent western RPG if you're looking for one.

The combat system is excellent and works incredible well. There's a lot of micromanagement both in battle and out.
There's 4 different specializations to expand on the 3 default classes with the ability to pick 2 for your character.

Essentially you take up many roles for each class if you so choose.

Yep, excellent game. Though I do regret buying it for the 360, lol. I'm actually on my second playthrough as a city elf this time. Still waiting for the Return to Ostagar DLC to released. Gotta get my hands on that gold armor. :D

Heard this was better on PC.
Sucks that I don't have a PC for gaming..
    :(.

The game does look better graphically on the PC. Not to mention the user interface feels more tailored to a keyboard and mouse.
There are also mods available (such as a storage chest for your camp and a respec mod) for the game should you want to use some.

Honestly, I found the Warden Commander armor (and Starfang sword) to be more than enough for my main character during the entire game.

I used that armor for awhile, until I found a better one (Armor of the Divine Will) which costs a lot, but it's got some nice bonuses and looks pretty sweet. Only downside I guess is that one of your specializations has to be a Templar. :/

One of my friends at school was raving about this game for two weeks so I think I may pick this up. I'm waiting for a new PC though. I'd rather have it on that than 360.

Considering the set bonus you get from equipping all parts then the Armor of the Divine Will is pretty bad. Ditch it and get the Knight Commander's Plate (+5 willpower, +40% spell resistance, +10 mental resistance) it has the same defense and fatigue stats.

I assume that's the Templar looking armor? I believe I have that. I switched it with the Armor of the Divine Will merely on looks, which is dumb, I know. Do you happen to know what the best heavy armor happens to be?

It depends on what kind of character you're playing. All of the top tier armor provide the same defense and fatigue. The difference is their enhancements and set bonus (if any)

The best massive armor is the Legion of the Dead set though if you're willing to forego a little bit of defense then the Juggernaut set, the Knight-Commander plate (no set bonus) or the Effort set (Note: Armor of the Divine Will will work with the Effort set bonus as it is considered a 'replacement' of the Effort plate) is a good setup.

The River Dane set is recommendable too but you can only get it by
    Spoiler:

The best heavy armor is Evon The Great's Mail (no set bonus) or the Armor of Dilligence (slightly lower defense on the plate but it has a set bonus)

Yeah it took me a little while to get into it, but I'm enjoying it quite a bit. My one complaint is that some of the battles are really challenging (I may just be playing totally wrong, lol ;x) but overall it's been fun.

Try to stall going to Redcliffe for awhile. I suggest you do the DLC content first and then whatever sidequests you can get your hands on. The game may seem imbalanced at first but it's not that bad once you get futher into the game and don't just focus on the story quests.

Evon The Great's Mail? I haven't heard of that one. How do you acquire it?

My friend bought it for the PS3 and I played it for about 4 hours and loved it.

I'm a female city elf warrior with white hair and green eyes named Rynalia who specializes in Dual Weilding Swords.

I love listening to the conversations between Morrigan & Alistair. They're hilarious.

Just got the game for PS3.
It's pretty damn good, from what I've played so far.
Am downloading the DLC that I got for free with my collector's edition.

I'm currently playing a Female, Human Magi character.
I just got recruited by the grey wardens.

Female City Elf Assassin/Duelist. Around 50 hours in, also have a new Mage. Amazing game, and I have it for 360 and don't mind the difference.

Best Massive armor is debateable. I have the Superior Dragon Scale and Superior Drakescale armor, which is pretty much all you need to take on most things, with some variances in Drakescale with light armor, I can't remember what other light armor I have to mix in with it... But full Superior Dragonscale has little weakness if you can equip some sweet accessories.

Honestly if your playing a mage don't worrie about it too much, it's gonna be something you invest a lot of money into. Now, if it is becoming a problem, try Mana Drain, set it on tactics is you have to, other wise figuire a way to get your mana regen up and keep your tank alive while your recharging. Hope this helps!!!
