Dragon Breath Deck

RUN CLAYDOL! Naw man, i'm just playin. I actually prefer IQ over Rosies, but unlike Rosie, it's use is pretty situational. It's obviously not as consistant, but at the same time, it could get you a bunch of energy. I run 2 in my MagLeaf 2.0 and I keep flip flopping Jirachi RR back and forth, in and out of the deck. It's nice because even if i get nothing on IQ, i get to use it again via Detour. Sorry I can't be much more help. I've never run Kingdra and i still fail to see why it has such a cult following. I've reviewed the card many times and it doesn't stick out to me as more than an "average" card.

.-. A consistant 60 damage and 20 snipe for one energy is nowhere near average. That card is a beast.

You don't need more Energy. You just need one to attack, and you can discard other things. Blissey is bad, but if he wants it, it's fine. I prefer to not have it, but nothing is really needed too much more.

I'll keep on suggesting Claydol until it's in the deck xP Kingdra is very near unusable next format because of it's absense, so at least use it while it lasts.

I do need more energy. Discarding something besides energy is pointless, it helps you do more damage and it also can be easily retrived.

Also i added a bronzong SF to the deck and its running lot smoother now.

Well, Roseanne's won't be legal come August, so I'd suggest swapping it out for Interviewer's Questions when the time comes, but Roseanne's is still a better card until that point. Engineer's Adjustments is not worth running 3 of, and Blissey Prime doesn't work nearly as well as it would seem at first glance.

Thanks, i took out the roseannes. And the EAs are great because they give me good draw power and help kingdra discard energies. I am thinking about taking out the blissey but i like that it also helps me discard energies. If you have any sugestions for what else i could put in i would be happy to take it out.

True Dat. Also its other attack can do massive amounts of damage and retuens energies to the deck.

Well, thing is, it just eats up Bench space, unless you've got some way of returning it to your hand or your deck, and it's otherwise pretty useless.

Well i have super scoops, but the flip is annoying. Most of the time the game is almost over when i use it anyways so its not that bad. Like i said though i would take it out it i had something better to put in.

You do realize that you're really not supposed to be trying to hit with its first attack. 60+20 snipe is good enough. A big smashing attack that'll miss a OHKO on most SP Lv.X is kinda pointless to me. You won't have the time or luxury to discard those energy against a good opponent.

I know its not the main attack but i use it ussually about once per game, mostly to retuen energy to the deck.

Palmer's returns energy to the deck. You should run about 7 Water Energy and 4 Call and tons more setup cards. That's how Kingdra is preferably run. It's better that way ;P

I disagree. I have never seen anyone run kingdra that way. But thats okaay we can just have our own opinions.

Why waste space with supporters/trainers to return energies to your deck/hand when you have a free attack that will do that for you AND do damage? Yes, maybe run a Fisherman or 2 to get the energies into your hand, but that's about it. Save the space and put it to better use elsewhere.

Thats what im saying! I have Bronzong SF to get energy into my hand tough so fishermans seems a little pointless.

I love cycler...even though i've never used it. I've thought about it/wanted to. But when it came down to it, I never could fit it in. I was going to put it in my MagLeaf deck, but i'm using Smeargle instead.
Only problem I could see with Cycler is if you're facing Luxray Gl/Pkmn Reversal. If it gets dragged up it's dead pretty much and you need some sort of back up. I highly suggest my aforementioned Smeargle SW. You get 3 basic energies for free, and you can Trace for 1 energy. Check it out!

That would be fantasic, if it were a poke-power. I need to beable to get energy everyturn AND attack. and as far as luxray goes, you cant protect agianst everything.

Then I guess you really have been testing it against top tier decks.
I would peronally take out the glaceon line and a point and put in a 2-1-2-1 line of (use the sf gengar) gengar x AND TAKE OUT 1 kingdra la and put in kigdra prime And one last thing i would take out cynthias guidance's for cynthias feelings and 1 lookers and make a 6-6 split with the energies for psychic and water nrg

and the only top tier deck from that list is sp's and that depends on which ones...

Running more than 11 Energy in Kingdr seems like more of a space-waster than a Palmer's or 2 Night Maintenance to revive energy. You don't even need to, either way. Set up cards that you don't need are the things you will discard. Like a second Luxury Ball. Or your 4th BTS. That's why we luv Kingdra~
