    Overview

Aloha, and welcome to Dragon's alolan adventure, my friends! In this, you'll be able to see my progress through the Pokemon Sun Playthrough, and you'll be able to vote and pick what Pokemon I use! Heck, you can even ask to have a pokemon be nicknamed after you! You can also use this playthrough to help you out with anything you're stuck upon, or if you wanna see any strategies that I've used! Now, let's get right to it, yes?!

Pt 1: Beginning - Start of First Trial

An e-mail from the good ol' professor invited me to the island of Alola! Never been there myself, as I've always been a Kanto person, but we'll see what adventures await us! So, we meet the professor, and Lillie with her partner Pokemon as we are then able to pick our starter pokemon. And the starter Pokemon that I've picked...

    Is Popplio!

Along with Popplio, we've gained our first victory over our new friend, Hau! The Next morning, we learn how to catch wild Pokemon! All you have to do is weaken the wild Pokemon with your own, and then catch it with a Pokeball. So, I actually managed to catch a bunch of Pokemon: Pikipek, Caterpie, Ledyba, and Yungoos. Trained up all of those Pokemon as we headed to the festival, to battle Hau again. This time, he has a Pichu, so you might have to be more careful if you have a water-starter. Luckily my Pokemon was level 11 before battling him, so, it manage to sweep both of his Pokemon. After the battle, we get a Z-Ring!

Soon we head out again, this time to the lab, with Lillie leading the way. There are trainers, as well as new Pokemon to be caught, which I've also caught a Slowpoke, and a Wingull! We made it to the lab where we learn about the Island Challenges, and so, we set out for the nearby town.

Saved at the Pokemon Center, these are my Pokemon so far:

Here's where you guys come in! You can choose up to three Pokemon that I have here in the spoiler along the ride to the first trial:

    Spoiler:

    You guys picked:
    Pikipek
    Butterfree
    Wingull

Haven't trained Wingull that much, but it will get quite a few Exp this session!

+ Arrives at the Trainers school, where we are greeted with Kukui's choiced words: "Put her through the wringer Teach!". Then we get the Exp Share which eh, I'm thinking of not bothering because it made X&Y waaaay too easy, but with all the Pokemon I'm gonna raise, I might consider it? Hnnng, hooray for lazy Dragon?

+ First Trainer is a lass... but she's actually a Youth Athlete? She's literally just a lass with tennis racket, and she's a different class. Okay! Her pokemon is a Pikipek. No match for Popplio's Water Gun! Ack, when she LOSES she makes a silly reference to her class: "That's game set and match, huh...?". Good grief, shoving it in our faces. She teaches us that if we use items like X Attack or X Defense to raise our attack and defense respectively, we deal more damage, and take less damage. Basic, right?

+ Next Trainer is a young lad who gets cocky: "I'll teach you what tactics I've learned at school... by beating you with them!!" Yikes! Game face on! And... it's Youngster Joey. o_o Except he has a Metapod? Anywhoooo. Pikipek takes care of it in one hit with Peck, and we gain the victory! Then Joey admits he hasn't been doing his homework. Har har. Here, he tells us about the status conditions like Poison, Paralysis.

+ The school actually has tall grass where Wild Pokemon are! There, I caught an Alolan Meowth!, and a Magnemite! Two Pokemon I look forward on using soon indeed~

+ The next trainer I see here gloats: "Wanna know why I'm standing here? BECAUSE I'M THE STRONGEST!! YOU MUST BEAT THE OTHERS FIRST!" So, I chuckle at him as I actually head inside the school.

+ A little girl in here I've met goes: "Boy you're close! Stand so close and I'll want to battle you! Is that what you want? Huh?! Is it?!?!" She's... rather excitable. So I agree to battle her and she responds, "Then I'll show you how I like to fight... UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL!!" Are all the students in this school so... off? But yeah, Mia here sends out a Bonsly! A rock type pokemon that I haven't seen in Alola yet. Popplio knocks it out with a strong Water Gun, and Mia gives this... cute losing pose. She's actually happy, with her arms out? Wow.

+ A staff member here gives me a Quick Claw! Which if you've forgotten, Quick Claw allows the user to sometimes go first, even if it's slower than the opposing pokemon. A handy item for Munchlax! It's also a nice intro to hold items: you can't use them unless the Pokemon is holding it.

+ Back to the arrogant "strongest trainer" in the school here: he says that it's cool being strong! I mean.. duh?!?! Anywho, his name is Joseph, and he has an Alolan Grimer! Kinda looks like one of those sludge monsters from Super Mario Sunshine. Luckily this Grimer doesn't know any Poison moves, so, it's not much of a threat. I considered using Butterfree's Confusion, but, Popplio knocks it out anyway!

+ After the battle he goes: "That wasn't cool at all... maybe I should aim to be pretty?" Yeah, you'll be a fabulously pretty boy, alright. He comes up to award me with the TM01 - Work Up! Now, you can teach your Pokemon any TMs as long as they can learn the move in question, from your TMs/HMs section in your bag. Work up is a move that increases Attack and Special attack of a Pokemon, which can be handy if you're looking for some power!

+The school's intercom announces me to go to the 2nd floor of the school... I'm not even enrolled in school and I'm already in trouble!? Maybeeee? Ack! Even Lillie thinks I did something terrible... ;w; Even the Rotom Pokedex thinks I'm being naughty... ugh.

+ Oh no... there's a teacher who's staring at me... "Lynn... I can't believe that you..." Gulp. "Beat all of my students!! Fantastic!!" Eh--Huh? Then she wants to battle me herself, which I agreed in... semi shock horror! Anywho, her name is Emily, and she's the first trainer I'm battling who has two Pokemon!

+ Her first Pokemon is a Magnemite, which ick, from my team it's starting to feel obvious that Electric Pokemon might give me some trouble, but Popplio is bulky enough to take a Thundershock, and KO with a Water Gun. So far, so good!

+ Her next Pokemon is Alolan Meowth. Not too difficult; as long as you're faster than it, you can't be flinched by it's Bite Attack. So, Pikipek's Rock Smash did the trick. Victory! She awards me with 5 great balls, which are nice! These are Pokeballs that are better than normal Pokeballs.

+ The professor comes along with the Captain: Captain Llima. She... (or he?) is the trial captain, who invites me to take their challenge.

+ We stroll with Lillie, as we met with the same Tarous we met blocking the path before. It seemed... really happy when we pet it, so, it must of calmed down. Onward to Ha'olil City!

+ Pretty nice city indeed! It's right next to a beach, and the locals seemed really friendly! We even get to lean 'Aloha!'

+ Soon we encounter our first encounter with Team Skull. They... rap all day? And the typical Zubat. No wonder people don't take them seriously; they're pushovers.

+ BUT, right after that, the captain challenges me, and he's actually pretty tough because of his Smeargle who has Tackle which is STAB move. Luckily, Munchlax was able to absorb hits and dish them out.

+ Polippo evolved into Brionne, and Pikipek evolved into Trumbeak (at an early level even - level 15? wow.)

+ Now we move on to the Island challenge, where we have to defeat 3 of the pokemon who lives in caverns. Sounds easy! Except for the last one who keeps popping between caverns. Team Skull then shows up to muck everything up, which they have a Drowzee this time. Took them down, in which they manage to block up the entrences where the wild Gumshoos was hiding, so we took it down!

+ Oooh, here comes the Totem Pokemon... a giant Gumshoos. It's Def. automatically rises because of it's power, and he manages to call forth Yangoos to do his bidding. But, it's no match for the newly evolved Brionne! We won after a few Water Gun attacks, and an Aqua Jet for the victory! We get awarded a Normalize-Z!

+ Few more Pokemon to catch like Growlithe, Alolan Mewoth, Alolan Diglett, and Oricorio, who was staying near this yellow flower patch, where we also find Lillie.

+ Soon it was time to face the Island Kahuna, who is proficient with Fighting type Pokemon. Fortunately Oricorio manages to take out his first two with simple ir Cutter attacks, and Brionne takes out his last pokemon, not without taking it's Fighting-Z move in the face, ouch. But, we still won the challenge, and now, it's time to go on the next island! But not before catching some other pokemon from Ten Carat Hill, like Carbink, Spinda, and Rockruff.
