4th Gen Dragon's Den Dratini

    Is there something special that you have to do before you get it from the Dragon Shrine? My friend is trying to get it on his Soul Silver but the guy keeps talking about the Lugia event, he caught Lugia and tried again but the guy keeps talking about the Lugia Event.

    So my question is, what do you have to do to get the dratini?
     
    i just caught a dratini in the wild on SS
     
    I have no idea then. Normally, when you get the TM, with an empty slot, you should get the Dratini.
     
    Well, I fulfilled all the criteria and it didn't work...
    However, if he defeats the Elite Four, and goes back, I can guarantee he will get his Dratini, as I gave up, completed Johto, went back, and lo and behold, it was there!
     
    Incidentally, make sure he gets a male one for sure, unless the female one has a perfect nature / IVs. Extremespeed can be passed down to offspring Dratini, but egg moves are only from male parents. Since this is the only place to get Extremespeed on a Dratini at all other than breeding, you want to make sure it's male so you can get more later if you want another.

    ok i'll pass on the message on to him. Coincidentally, I have a male one :)
     
    Going to close this then - basically everything possible has been mentioned methinks. If there are still problems though, ask again in the Help thread sticky, please.
