    Okay I was watching episode 1 of pokemon with my brother (I gave it to my brother),

    There were a couple of things I noticed, like that they pronounced Pokemon differently,, like adding a "O" where the "é" is, and that Pichachu was like badly drawn and did not at all look like the Pichachu we know today,,, has anyone else noticed this?


    Were there some changes in the drawing staff, if you have a example of something like this then please mention them.
     
    I would say this would be from digital animation and CG. Some of the attacks are in CG and so are modes of transportation such as aircrafts. As for designs, Satoshi's hair is drawn differently these days. Just look at the avatar Jorah has to see how it is without his hat.
     
    They changed animation method. Yes, I think it's better today.

    Yeah towards the end of Johto, they started painting with the computer than than by hand.
     
    Yeah I noticed that. The animation as a whole went up a couple notches. But I can't help but still like the cornball factor of the old episodes.
     
    I did notice that Pikachu changed a lot from the first episode compared to now...lol...Pikachu seemed a lot fatter in the 1st episode while now it looks more thing and better shaped...plus Ash as himself looks a lot better than how he did before...but yes, the digital animation has went up quite a bit to the better...
     
    In Advanced Ash got a tan, which was quite funny

    I noticed that, they used to pronouce Pokemon the way you do with a British accent Poh-kuh-mon. The "uh" in the "Kuh" part isn't really pronounced, it's said very quickly, not like Poh-kUH-mon. But anyway, I found it really annoying when Ash and Gary pronounced it that way

    It wasn't really badly drawn, it just seems a *lot* rounder and fatter back then. People have suggested that it eventually became thinner because it was easier to animate it, such as when it's running.

    Lately, especially in Movie 11, his hair did seem a bit... bluer than before. In the first generation, it was blacker than black. o_0.

    Is he trying to look Dawn-Smexy, or is he plainly stupid again?
     
    Actually his hair is now a black green color. I like it as its the color of the sea almost. Omg its teh connection wiht lugiaz teh choosin pookimon yes yes yes ash is teh chosin onz to saiv teh wirld!!!1!!111 (really bad pun there sorry)
     
    Another thing that i noticed is that Misty's eyes were blue during the first seasons and later became green when they switched to digital animation. Also, in movies and some openings done in digital animation (like johto journeys) and promotional artwork, they were green as well. Whats the deal with that.
     
    Yep. For one they still pronounce pokemon names differently at times and Ash looks different than he did back then and Brock does too. Im glad Pikachu isnt fat and ugly anymore.
     
    Well I guess it is safe to say Misty got contacts, ash grew his hair a bitlonger a dyed it too...lol...and oh I guess ash got a tan as well...all in the days work of a pokemon trainer I guess!

    You are correct. At first, I thought the Shaymin movie is the same, but under further speculation...

    Satoshi has different eye colour. In the anime, when they focus on his face, it is in full black, and in the movie, it is brown + black.
     
    When they zoom in on Ash in the TV programme, he also has brown eyes. It depends what animators are feeling like, I suppose. I don't have many pictures of him with brown eyes, but he definatly always has brown eyes on zoom in.

    Other times I remember are at the very end of the last AG episode and somewhere in the High Touch opening.
     
    in additon in the movies they have a more three dimensional effect to everything, while in the anime they don't detail too much on that...have u ever noticed that as well?
