    Hey~

I'm not too sure if it's my DS lite's fault, but the calibration has been awkward recently.

I got it late last year, and it was working fine up till the past 2-3 months when I noticed that in some applications that involve the touch screen, the point that is marked, is to the right of the stylus. I've tried re-calibrating the touch screen many times, but it doesnt seem to really want to work properly.

E.g. In PictoChat, when I use the stylus and press the letter "k", it instead gives me "l".

And it seems to be only affecting the right hand side of my console.

Any suggestions or help that can be given would be appreciated.

Mine does it too. You'd think it would work better on the right side since you click to of the x's to make it work. In pictochat for me, it will never let me press the X. I can't get it to work either D:

I never got that problem, since I got my lite a two weeks after it came out here in the US. However, why not contact Nintendo? They might be able to help ya out.

I had this problem. Has it been one full year since you bought it? This happened to mine right before my warranty expired.

I called Nintendo and they sent me a new one (I think. It may have been refurbished, I can't remember) and I sent mine back to them. All free. So, I'd call them. Even if you're warranty is up, I'd call them. Maybe they'll be nice to you.

Nope, not yet. I bought it last year soon after D/P came out in Japan.

Okay, I got mine overseas though, so I'll have to send it back to my Dad to sort it out...

Any reasons or theories behind why this happens??

No, I don't know. Wish I did. Personally, I noticced while playing Nintendogs. That is entirely touch-based. So, when nothing was responding - I got worried. XD No matter where I tapped, the very bottom left of the screen would be selected.

You could call NoA. They might do something. The DS is region free. If anything they might redirect you to who you should contact.

It could be possible that the touch screen's been overused... but it isnt really in my case as I've only been playing Diamond on it and nothing else.

NoA is Nintendo of America right?
That wont work as I'm in New Zealand and my DS is bought from Taiwan, which was imported from Japan. XD
I'll get Dad to call the shop where he got it and hopefully something good will happen.

Yeah, I just assumed NoA would work (not sure why given I'm Canadian. XD) Umm...what's the acronym for Nintendo of ... Oceania? O_o

Yeah, that multi-cultural DS may be a problem.

Well, 3 weeks later I have sent my DSL back over to Taiwan (which costed NZD$41!!!) and my Dad has given it to the shop to send to Japan for fixing. They said it'll take 1-2 months in Japan.

=( No DS for the time being, and no D/P to play.
