I personally haven't tried the DS out yet. I have a PSP of my own and love it. Until I try out the DS Im not going to choose something just yet. XD

DS Ownz. I got one and I love it.

I've tried both, and here's what I think:

Me some months ago said:
"OK guys, you can insult me, shout at me, say bad things about me, hate me, ignore me, kick me out, whatever. But I bought a PSP.

HEAVENS, NO! I AM AND WILL ALWAYS BE A NINTENDO SUPPORTER. I'M NOT TO BE SEDUSED BY SONY OR QUIT DSGAMING!!!
May the DS (it rocks!) and the Revolution (it rules!) conquer the world of gaming.

I have some things to say about the PSP, if you don't mind.

Alright.

Music
Many people in this forum said that the PSP could only hold up to 5-8 songs. Even I thought that. But no. The PSP comes with a 32MB Memory Stick Duo, to store photos, videos, music, game data, and even games. It can hold far more that 10 songs, and with a Memory card with larger memory, it makes it even better.

Graphics
Also, many say that the graphics are impressive, brilliant, awesome, superb, marvellous, great, while others say that graphics don't matter.

Well, you may not agree with this, but in this case, graphics do matter. The graphics are good, but it's nothing to be carried away with, as the system makes the most out of its widescreen. The good graphics also enable you to see the game better. In Asphalt Urban GT some obstacles only appear when you're closer to them. That's quite typical of the DS. This also happens to the PSP, but you're at a very wider distance, say, when you're driving in a PSP game, like AU GT.
Also, if you want to choose between AU GT (for the DS) and Need For Speed Underground Rivals (for the PSP), you'd better choose the PSP game.
Not because I'm forcing you to do it, but because it's a lot better in terms of controls, and features.

Internet
Yes, it is Wi-Fi enabled, but I still didn't find much about that.

Music, Videos and Photos
Media? Not much. I use my Pocket PC for music. Also the PSP is a little too big for an MP3 Player, and some photos may take some seconds to load, unlike a Pocket PC. I use mine mainly for games (I have Need For Speed Underground Rivals and Spiderman 2, a lot better than the DS version, and I have to say that those 2 games are quite good, in terms of controls, and gameplay!).

Screen
Screen? I have some things to say about that too.
If you like things always clean, then you'll have to wipe your PSP every 10 minutes, otherwise, you'll see grase fingerprints all over it.

Scratched Screens? I'm not too worried about that, and Sony came prepared too. The PSP system has a soft case included, and it's just the thing for you if you carry hard/sharp objects in you pocket i.e. keys.

Also, the DS is more comfortable, for my big hands, and also the buttons are better, believe me.

I'm not sure if games have Wi-Fi play, but one thing is that you can search for players with a PSP around the world by connecting to a wireless hotspot.

The battery life can last up to 6 hours (8 if you're lucky), so the DS keeps workin' out.

I've tried out the PSP Internet browser, and I have a few things to say about that too:
The PSP wasn't made for surfin' the Net. It's a game console. Still, Sony doesn't quit. Sometimes the Internet could be painfully slow, which was what happenned to me. I viewed this website on it, and I have to say it was quite good actually, because of the graphics.

The PSP Web Browser has three tabs, allowing you to view three different web pages on the same PSP.

Nonetheless, you'd better get a laptop or a Pocket PC, or something, because the PSP is good at graphics, but it's not good at time. I forgot to say that some games take some time to load, which is actually not a very big problem, but the Internet, Yeurch. Can't be recommended at any level if you're in a hurry. Except for Smackdown 2006, which takes about 6 minutes to load. >_>; (Check out the video on YouTube if you want)

Both systems are good, with weak points, but the most important is about enjoying yourself.

well, that's all I have to say.

Thank-you for having so much patience for reading this,

PSP, because I can now download save states. SO I dont have to do the work...

...

If you get the Action Replay MAX DUO for the DS/GBA, you can load save-states onto DS games as well.

Just thought I'd mention that.

Also, you make good points, wakachamo. (argh, I'm so used to calling you 'waka' on the chat D=)

That's just laziness. Please give an actual reason.

You sound a little upset. I only did it with one game. Relax....

I own both systems and love them. Both have good games.

Especially DS:

New mario bros.

Sonic rush

Mario 64 DS

Yoshi touch and go

Mario Kart DS

PSP:

Death JR

NBA street

GTA

Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2

Mega man powered up

Maverick hunter X

Need for speed

Street fighter

They Both Have Their Cool Sides, But I Voted DS.

DS:
-Touch Screen
-2 Screens
-Wifi
-Microphone
-Awesome Games
-The Fact That Diamond And Pearl Are Gonna Be For DS Only.

PSP:
-It Has Some Cool Games.
-You Can Buy Movies For It.
-You Can Download Videos/Movies/Games Off Of The Internet And Put It On Your PSP
-It Has GTA Liberty City Stories XD

But Yeah, Personally I Prefer DS.

I like Ds better cause I've never got a PSP cause one time my friend was playing his PSP and it started leaking

PSP, It has better graphics, Better games, Great sound and you can watch movies on it, On the DS you can use the wi-fi but I prefer Psp ^^

PSP, I have a DS, and like it, but a friend showed me all the stuff a psp can do, an some games, and I think psp is better *faints*

I voted for DS, cuz i own one for myself... Don't think i never saw a PSP or sometin'. The half city have's a PSP. XD

I like the DS, just because it's cheap (lol reality principal), and has a good selection of games.

Most PSP games either don't appeal to me or are just PS2 games ported and added with extra features... well, not exactly ported but you get my point.

Most PSP games either don't appeal to me or are just PS2 games ported and added with extra features...

That statement is true by the most part. Instead of extra features, there are less features.

Anyway, I am going to change my vote. I like DS better. Better games, better battery life, just... better.

I voted DS as the better one, and so did alot of other people it seems. The DS is better for the sole reason that it is a Nintendo product. I have always been a fan of Nitendo (thought the Gamecube kinda sucked) and will always be a fan of Nintendo. I can't wait for the Wii!

Soon, will the DS have internet. Nintendo already has the Play-Yan, and Opera is going to make a browser for it.

Personally, I like both. I have both. PSP is good for portable media, and DS is good for games.

That's just laziness. Please give an actual reason.

I no my friend Dylan says that if you go to McDonalds a search for a wireless conection game, then you can play with people around the world. He said "I kicked Europian ***!" but still, i dont find more enjoyment in kicking Europian *** than kicking American or Chinese ***. It doesn't really matter (sry. plz pardom my foul language)

Nintendo has some good games but I haven't been a fan of their systems since the N64 came out. So PSP for me.
