DS player?

would it be possible for nintendo to make a DS player(like Gameboy Player)? The only problem i can think of is the touch screen...... but to solve that they could make an option to use the DS as a controller(like they did with GB Player....

That'd still be frustrating to touch the DS screen while coordinating your eyes with the TV. Kind of like learning to use a tablet, or something. @_@; Anyways I seriously doubt they'd do this for a number of compatibility issues (online?), plus why take away the big idea of it being portable?
"Look I can play Mario 64 on the TV" But we could do that years ago. ~_~

Not to mention splitting the picture and such.

I'm sure if they really wanted to, it could be done, but to have a DS player is going a bit too far, it would be looked at as some sort of money making sceme I didn't really like the idea for having it for the Gba it was just pointless to me, unless you have some sort of sight issue then maybe.
