Looks:has long black hair,and blue eyes.He wears a traditional black Kimono.
Personality:A kind person to those he likes.If he doesn't like you...well watch out.He can sometimes get very aggresive,but can also keep his cool.He treets his djin as if it were a person he likes.
Djinn's Name:Nefashu
Djinn's Personality:Nefashu is a small black djin that has quite aa temper.He loves his master,and will do anything he says.If Nefashu gets angry though,his fur turns into needles,and they hurt XD.
Of course you may join. ^-^ Start RPing whenever you want. But just keep in mind Djinn's true forms are more of a gas substance. They wouldn't have fur, but the way you described your djinni, that could be it's favored form. Most djinn (I forgot to mention this too) have a form they like to take most often. Like Bartimaeus likes to take the form of an Egyptian boy, and Farquarl a cook. They can turn into anything real or fantasy, anything they want.

The summoning circle filled with light and the Djinn-thing appeared.I stood inside my circle and waited as patiently as I could.
"What do you want boy?what use would you have for me, the greatest Djinn of all, Suicide?"a voice hissed from the Djinn's summoning circle.
"Shut it."I muttered.the genie seemed to have all the time in the world and was waiting to reply back.
"What is your undoubtedly stupid want?I really have better things to do like get killed."he had taken the form of a jaguar kitten."so may I ask what your birthname is?"
"my birthname is ... I have no clue.I could tell you my other name.Noh here.practical joker anytime anywhere.now for the want.there is a tournament and I have asked you to fight for me in it.if your name has any truth to it then you should be good at getting out of near death situations."I replied.
~~~~
Switching to Djinn.
This boy... Noh he said does not know his own birthname?now this is a twist.however he said practical joker.I can tell he is very sneaky, he probabaly is just lying to me.I thought.
"So you are right in picking me to fight.you are right about me slipping out of situations like that."I replied to him.I was ready to fulfill the want of this child and get back to being bored.
I can be sneaky too.I thought hiding a grin from the boy.
ooc:Hey..I'm free to battle with one of you peps...cause we all seem to be doing the tournament thingy...
This seems interesting.
Birth name: Ydinach Hoshiran
Formal Name: Roan
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Looks: Dark hair, green-gold cat eyes, stripes on left cheek
Personality: Quiet, respectful, independent, and free-spirited; Roan rarely finds cause to anger and is not easily irritated; has an odd, not often shown, streak of sadomasochism
Djinn's Name: Byakko
Djinn's Personality: Byakko is highly aloof, being generally detached from most other beings (especially humans). Though he usually seems calm, he will be quick to anger if his desire for solitude is not met. One of Byakko's few respects is for his master, Roan, though he would prefer not to admit it. Byakko and Roan have been together for quite some time and have grown to have deep trust in one another. One feature that both djinn and summoner share is their inclination toward sadomasochism--though Byakko's tendencies are far more pronounced. The djinn's preferred form is that of a winged white tiger.
OOC: Thanks for joining Kogenta! Start RPing as soon as you want! ^-^
IC: I trotted down the hall way a bit. I heard a door open behind me and saw the girl coming out of her room.
I rolled my eyes. I had a feeling she was going to watch me like a hawk. Oh well.
As I continued walking I couldn't stop thinking about this tournament the magicians were laying on us djinni. Normally, djinni didn't fight other djinni. Now magicians were summoning us for that sole purpose. We would do it, we had to, but some of us wouldn't like it. (Like, say, me.)
From an open door I heard a voice. "Soon, very soon." I poked my doggie head in to see a girl talking to a newly summoned djinni.
"Why, hello there," I said pleasantly, in a doggie-toned voice. "Nice weather we're having, ay?"
Behind me, Chica kicked on of my hind legs. "Enough with the chit-chat." She pointed to the girl. "Bartimaeus and I challenge you and your djinni to a fight!"
I rolled my eyes again. "Very forward today, aren't we?"
This Djinni I'd summoned seemed to be a rude one, stubborn as well, but they were always the best, and the strongest. The more they struggle, the saying goes, the stronger they are. I hopped this were true, because my Djinni has the most evil look in his eye right now, and looked as though if I hadn't given him an order he'd be running his mouth. "Permision to speak," I said to him. "Now, what's your name?" "Why should I tell you?" He said with a grin. I had given him permision to speak and he was abusing it. "If you don't watch it, you'll find yourself in emence pain," I growled. "Yes sir" he said with a snarl in his voice, "Now why am I here?" I didn't know if I should tell him anything, he seemed smart and he'd find a way to use it against me. "You'll soon find out," Was all I told him, and slowly walked away, examining the rest of the magicians and their Djinni.
ooc: Hello? I asked if anyone would want to battle my character?
Hello! Read my last post dearie. That was you I was talking to if you didn't notice. I took a quote from your last post, to help you figure it out. Guess it didn't work though.
ooc; *conks head* Oh! I'm sorry!
ic:She turned over to the girl and her djinni. "Let's get this over with already.." she said.
[OOC: In my post, I am assuming the setting is modern. If it is not, I can change my post accordingly.]
In a small, barren garden outside the temple, Roan lay nonchalantly on a stone bench. His emerald eyes were gently closed as a pair of black headphones pulsed music into his ears. Beside him, on the granite-blocked ground, resided a white tiger--lying partially curled, its feathered wings raised in a canopy to block the dim sunlight. Feeling a drop of rain spatter against his cheek, Roan opened one eye. Choosing to remain with only one eye opened, the youth removed one arm from behind his head to slide his headphones to his shoulders.
"Byakko."
The djinn remained still--only its ears twitching with an involuntary attentiveness. Raising his free hand to catch a raindrop, the magician stated, "The tournament has begun. It is time we found our first opponent."
Still Byakko did not move. Disregarding his djinn's seeming lack of interest, Roan raised himself into a sitting position before finally standing. As he started to walk toward the nearest temple entrance, Byakko began to stir. First stretching its wings, the white tiger slowly stood. Without a sound, the djinn shook rainwater from first its feathers then its fur. And, folding its wings, it then turned to follow its master.
OOC: I forgot to explain spells, didn't I? Well, I don't know much about them, but here's what I do know:
Djinni and magicians use special types of spells. They aren't like the kinds of spells you'd see in Harry Potter though. There are no words you have to say before you do the spell, you just do the spell. Though there is one spell where you do have to say something, but we won't need to get into that.
These are the types of spells that I know of:
Detonation- These are spells djinni often use when fighting. It creates a small green ball that explodes on its victim.
Spark- This is a spell used to create a small fire, which could turn into a large fire.
And I think there's also a spell for immobolization(sp...). Anyways, if you still don't understand spells, don't worry. Djinni are very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. If by some chance you understand my wigged-out explination of spells, or have read the book(s) and understand them, since I don't know all the spells, you can be creative and think up a spell. Don't make it anything drastic though, like that Death Spell or something.
Anyways, back to my lovely RP...
IC: My master smiled. "Alright Bartimaeus," she said. "You know what to do." Indeed I did, not that I wanted to.
"Very well," I said. I changed from my pitbull form into that of a gargoyle. I flapped my wings and rose into the air. As I went upwards, I stretched my claws and flew in for an attack.
OOC: Argh! Figures, you quit right when we're in the middle of a fight. Fine, I'll start back when Bartimaeus was searching for someone to fight...
ooc: Ha! She took it! I was just joking! April Fools!
o.O I thought April Fool's was tomorrow.
Ga, you got me. >.<
Alright, if you really haven't left, I guess that means ya can post.
A soft creak echoed through the stone hall as Roan pushed the oak door open. Brushing rainwater from his bangs, he entered the isolated area--leaving the door open as his djinn stepped in after him. Kicking the door shut, Byakko brushed past Roan, allowing droplets to fall from the white feathered surface of his wings.
Stepping out of the short hall into a large room, Roan allowed his green-gold gaze to travel about. However, the room was silent and deserted. Noticing a larger hall extending from one side of the room, the magician motioned for Byakko to follow as he strode toward it. Making his way down the wide passage, Roan's gaze roved ceaselessly--glancing into the open rooms and at the strange ornaments that adorned the walls.
Finally finding himself at the hall's end, Roan hesitantly placed his hand on the sturdy, cherrywood door that stood directly before him. For a long moment he was still, unsure of whether it would be prudent to open the door or not.
Seething with silent irritation and impatience, Byakko slammed his head into the door, throwing it open.
I wanted to test out this Abayomi's powers. I could sense a good deal of strength in him, but whether he was willing to use it or not was an entirely seperate matter. I left my rooms and headed for the courtyard too see if a fight might be found there. I didn't know very many mages, so odds are I wouldn't be pitted against a friend and get involved in that mess.
I was about to say I'd be more than happy to take the first shot, but my master spoke first.
"I'll let you have to honor of going first," she said. How kind, I really got a caring girl this time, didn't I?
