[ASM & Hex] DYNAMIC PALETTE PATCH [FIRERED]

Firstly I have visited the thread about dynamic palette patch (no need to link me to that)

Secondly, I don't have WiFi at home (pathetic) so I am not able to install devinkit pro (or whatever)

And I am not able to use this python stuff so is there a ready made IPS patch (or ups) to patch it directly into ROM without those steps

It would be a great help, thanks :)

I presume you're talking about either the Dynamic Pokémon Expansion/CFRU?
Since the Dynamic Palette is something different

The answer to your question is in the CFRU FAQ. Basically, having a patch would relinquish any customisation options, which is kinda a major part of using it/its creation.

Maybe try downloading devkiit at a place with free Wi-Fi, like a library etc.
Defs recommend working it out if you have time.

you talking ab this? or skeli's thing?

if it's really the dynamic palette patch, then there's a patch at the bottom of the post.

if you're talking ab this instead, then that's a whole different thing

No patch for which?!

Dynamic Palette: YES
• Allows more colours on screen at one time... Essentially

Dynamic Pokémon Expansion: NO
• A bunch of code that helps to expand the Pokémon available in Fire Red dynamically (intended for use with the Complete Fire Red Upgrade).

OK thanks, jus to be sure its features is jus to have many palettes in a single map ryt ?!! No need to reply if I am ryt :)

Thanks a lot !!

when designing the characters that appear on screen, you needed to make sure you only used a set of about 100-something colors and that it was within a subset of 16 colors within that. the colors were pre-determined and a pain in the ass to stay within
when you use the dynamic palettes, each character then could have its own 16 colors and the game would load it when loading the character. so instead of fitting to the strict colors, you have a lot more freedom in what you choose to use and where

Oh thanks but I watched a video about palette expansion by aspiring poketrainer he did something with the hex editor patching is it necessary here's the link

Have you tried just using the patch? Just try it and you'll see what happens. Trial and error is the best way tp learn with this stuff if you ask me.
Just remember to SAVE A BACKUP!!!
And (like is often the problem) are you definitely using Fire Red 1.0?

PS. I don't see where APT uses a Hex editor....
