i din't see this brought up anywere else, but if it has i'm sorry...

8 people have gotten sick from eating Taco bell's Tacos.
7 cases in PA- all stores closed
    1 Case in NJ; Deleware.

all 15(or 16, not sure of actual number) branches of the store are going to close for santizing(SP?).

What do you actually think about all of this?

I really don't have an opion, 'cause i don't eat at taco bell, i don't even like tacos! but if i had to chose, that it is a good idea that the resterants are actually trying to solve this problem.

Who wants Taco Bell now? I know I don't.

    E. Coli has been every where lately. Spinach, lettuce, cruise ships, and now Taco Bells. People need to take their time and cook food thoroughly. You didn't hear about these kinds of things back when McDonalds first opened years ago.

    Goodness... more E. Coli!!?

btw, did the spinach crisis ever end? I never heard from it again...
Oh well, this is a good heads up, Ill alert my folks just in case it comes to CA ^_^

I'm doing a ThinkQuest project right now (in ThinkQuest, you make a 35 page website for a HUGE grade) based on this and I think this will definiately be relevant information for the site.

Anyway, the outbreaks must cease to exist. About 82% percent of the deadly E. Coli, which is E. Coli 0157:H7 (the harmful strain for you ones that do not know) and is lethal at times. These people have probably been infected with this one of the few harmful strains of the species Escherchia Coli.

The annoyance, I've learned from my research that derives from this foodborne pathogen can induce hemolytic urinary syndrome (HUS), which triggers kiddney failure, and the several symtom, bloody diarrhea.

I hope this case in 3 people killed (Spinach outbreak 2006 this year) or even 4 (1993 Jack In The Box on the Pacific Coast, mainly in Washington state).

Taco Bell derserves the lawsuit and fines for they are sickening the human kind.

Taco bell sucks anyway, it's not even real mexican food lol, just some poseur things.

And stay away your spinach and lettuces from me :x.

Taco Bell has only pulled back their green onions I believe. It's a shame though. I'm a bit of a fan of their Gordita Crunches. :[

Taco Bell is just rushing itself and not taking it's time to throughly check and make sure their products to make the food are safe.

Not surprised that the most likely cause of this is Green Onions, since it seems to be vegeables that have been at fault for E.Coli lately.

Man, I'm scared. Yesterday I was just reading something about pissing blood and having cramps and that is sick.

    @ Allstories: Freaking funny stuff.

I think that E-coli adds much needed flavor and spices.

    one thing then another

First the spinach now Taco Bell! And (yah I know I'm not suppose to start a sentance with and) it appears the source location of the tainted food is the same as with the spinach!
    Spoiler:
I've never eaten Taco Bell and never wanted to either.

Maybe all of the food coming out of Southern California should be double checked for E.Coli before entering the food supply chain.

some are saying that the E. Coli is coming from the onions and i hate taco bell it sucks

    :t354:~*!*~Queen Boo~*!*~

4 more potentai cases have been discoved, now bringing the total to 88.
now, lettuce is expected to be the source of the E. Coli
man, right after they clean that place

Eek, that sucks. Now parents have an excuse to stop their kids from going to Taco Bell. (Unlike the Spinach scenario, when we were overjoyed.)

I heard that people from Asia have a 90% immunity to that stuff - though I don't really believe it. xD

That cannot be true. I mean, I wish it could be true.

Um, where exactly did you hear this from?

I'm in Asia, and Japanese people don't have any magic abilities.

Anyways, I miss Taco Bell like you wouldn't believe right now, e. coli or not~

Eeeeegh just hearing about all of the E. Coli now-a-days, I feel like it's not safe to eat anything anymore.....Being a vegetarian isn't so easy what with the GREEN Vegetables and whatnot. Most of this odd E.Coli has been found in GREEN vegetables...(which were my favorite)
