Ecco Revived (as if it was ever popular anyway)

He squinted from the bright light the thing emitted. "I'm not sure...." Instinctively, he reached out and touched it with the tip of his fin.

"Ow!" he cried, recoiling. He examined his fin. The tip was burnt black. "Whatever it is, I don't like it," he said, returning his gaze to the odd silver object.

She swam towards the object, touching it with a fin. She quickly recoiled and swam in cirlces, pain coursing through her body.

Ecco watched Lieak swim in circles, feeling more angry than he ever had before. "It hurt you too? Now I KNOW I don't like it!" He swam to her. "Will you be alright?" he asked in a softer tone, staring into her eyes with a concerned look on his face.

OOC: I'm really upset because my idol was stolen by that Team Magma Girl. I had claimed him first...

"I'll be fine..." I said, looking at Ecco. "Thanks for caring...I rubbed my head against his side as a sign of thanks.

He smiled at her. "I'm glad you're okay. Now we just need to figure out what that thing is," he said.

Ecco examined the object more closely. And suddenly, he felt that something evil was nearby...

"Lieak, I think we should..." But before he could finish, a low rumbling noise interrupted him. "That doesn't sound good," said Ecco. "That does not sound good."

OOC: That sucks. *throws something at Team Magma Girl*

"Ecco....what's going on....I've felt this kind of runbling before...but something isn't right...." She stayed close to him, afraid.

"Don't be afraid," said Ecco softly, leaving out the fact that he was afraid too. Why make it worse?

The rumbling grew steadily louder...

"What if it's something that's going to harm us....." She quickly surfaced faced air, zooming back to Ecco's side.

"If it is...." His voice trailed off. He didn't want to think about what the noise could mean.

Suddenly, the rumbling stopped, and the ocean was eerily silent. Too silent...

"It's okay, Lieak. It's okay," said Ecco, holding her tightly. He 'listened' to the silence for a while, straining to hear something. But nothing came. "The prophecy...." he murmured, without any idea of where the words had come from. And then, it happened....

The ocean around the two dolphins and the strange object turned black, black as the night. The sky above turned blood-red, as if blood had been spilt in it.

Noise came back. But not just any noise. It was like an explosion, booming, giving Ecco a terrible migraine.

At the same time it was like the scream of a horrible monster, bellowing in evil glee after being freed from a cage.

And then it was something else, something that was more terrible than both of the sounds before it. In the background of the noise, Ecco could hear faint murmuring of garbled words he could not understand, like a foreign language to him. He did not understand them, but he still knew they were dark, evil words. Words that no one, absolutely no one, should ever have had to hear.

"Allas es teno zhe rebra jen tulio sevas seste seloenas...." whispered the murmuring voice, which sounded hollow and inhuman. It repeated the last word with even more menace in its tone. "SELOENAS!"

And for a moment Ecco could glimpse the speaker clearly in his mind. This was too much. The speaker's image dripped in darkness, choking Ecco, choking him. He screamed loudly, then fainted, too exhausted to take anymore.

OOC:Have to go. Bye!

"Wha...what?" Ecco slowly awoke. He looked around, but the sky and the sea had returned to their normal colors. And the regular noises were back.

"What....happened?" asked Ecco, taking a deep breath in between words. He was finding it difficult to talk. "Did....you...see it?" He looked in the direction of the object. Perhaps it would give them a clue. But the object was gone.

"You....didn't have to see it, did you? Please...tell....me you didn't have to see it," said Ecco, looking at her wearily. He hoped she hadn't. He didn't want her to have had to experience that terrible vision too.

"Oh...good," said Ecco, relieved. "What...was that?" He was talking more to himself than to her.
