Editing the region map picture

From reading the Essentials wiki, I know how to change map info, set position/location, etc., but I don't know how to edit the picture to make it look like my region instead of the default Essentials region. Is the map like a tileset where there are certain tiles you place on the map? If so, how do I access this?

Look for a file in your Graphics/Picture folder called mapRegion(region number)
Just change the files for your region(s) and use the html file called townmapgen to set the location of the cities.
