Egyptian Myth Challenge

Unfortunately, my Digimon Crest Challenge was not as popular as I had hoped. I will try this one as well..
I came up with this idea after I have read The Kane Chronicles trilogy, which are three novels that involve Egyptian gods in modern times, and are written by Rick Riordan, who brought us the Percy Jackson series.
Similar to the Greek Myth challenge, the theme of this challenge happens to be the gods of ancient Egypt.

Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/Fire/Leaf/Diamond/Pearl/PlatinumBlack 2/White 2 challenges end after you become Champion
Black/White challenges end after Ghetsis is defeated
Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heart/Soul challenges end after Trainer Red is beaten
X/Y challenges end after AZ is defeated

Legendary Pokemon are not allowed in this challenge, and avoid using "HM Slaves".

I just got Diamond version, which means I need a challenge!

Username: Tek
Game: Diamond

This challenge seems pretty fun. Also, it's perfect for my first ever Sinnoh run, because I'll be able to use many different kinds of pokemon in my team.

I will be choosing Piplup for sure, who will be Sebek. For now, I'll also nab a Starly to use as Horus.

Okay, first update.

Spoiler:

Current Team:

Sebek the Prinplup @ Quick Claw
Brave Male Lv 18
Metal Claw/Rock Smash/Bubble/Peck

Horus the Staravia
Careful Male Lv 17
Wing Attack/Quick Attack/Double Team/Tackle

Finally getting around to start the challenge, I have been so busy with looking for employment.

Well. I am picking Totodile to be Sebek. Seeing if I can get a Pidgey or Spearow to be Horus.

Update two:

Spoiler:

Current Team:

Isis the Vespiqueen
Gentle Female Lv 22
Sweet Scent/Gust/Power Gem

Ra the Leafeon
Hasty Male Lv 19
Tail Whip/Razor Leaf/Sand Attack/Sunny Day

Horus the Staravia
Careful Male Lv 24
Whirlwind/Double Team/Quick Attack/Wing Attack

Sebek the Prinplup @ Quick Claw
Brave Male Lv 22
Metal Claw/Rock Smash/Cut/Bubble

(Don't worry I didn't forget Digimon challenge - just haven't had any extra time to update all of my challenges just yet D: )

Third update:

I nabbed a Timid Chingling , he is Thoth. His characteristic is Mischievous, so I think he's got a perfect Sp. Attack stat. Could be wrong, but his Sp Atk does seem really good. I also caught an Aipom to be Babi, but he is boxed for now.

After several towns and many hours of playtime, I made it to the Fighting-type Gym. Horus cleaned up nicely, Isis helped a little too.

With Ra at Lv 27, I challenged Wake... I mean Crasher Wake's Water-type Gym. It was nothing too tough. Isis' combo of Toxic and Flash helped quite a bit during the badge battle. Not the best moveset for the fertility goddess, though, so I may change that up.

I caught a Skorupi in the Great Marsh. Thought about using her as Nepthys, but I decided that a Spiritomb would be a better fit for my team. I don't really feel like I have room for Nepthys though. I'm starting to get attached to the lineup of Sebek, Horus, Isis, and Ra. Not too attached to Horus... He does OK, but he's mostly just there so that I can use Sebek.

EDIT: Horus just evolved and learned Close Combat. With his massive Atk and Spe stats, and STAB bonuses on Take Down and Fly, he's really become a heavy hitter. I did not expect so much from the silly little bird you find at the start of the game.

I'm on my way back to Hearthome now, gonna get that badge and start exploring with Surf. Osiris and Shu are in the daycare for now. I may or may not use them.

Current team:

Thoth the Chingling @ Soothe Bell
Timid Male Lv 30
Uproar/Last Resort/Astonish/Confusion

Isis the Vespiqueen @ Shell Bell
Gentle Female Lv 33
Heal Order/Flash/Power Gem/Toxic

Ra the Leafeon
Hasty Male Lv 30
Quick Attack/Razor Leaf/Sand Attack/Sunny Day

Horus the Staraptor
Careful Male Lv 34
Close Combat/Double Team/Take Down/Fly

Sebek the Prinplup @ Quick Claw
Brave Male Lv 34
Metal Claw/Rock Smash/Cut/Bubblebeam

Future plans:

My team is becoming settled; Horus and Sebek are staying, Ra stays to cover the weakness to Electric-types that those two share (until I get a Gabite, that is). I will definitely be adding a Toxicroak to be Selket, and a Lucario to be Anubis. This leaves me with one spot to rotate as I see fit.

Final Update:

A lot happened since last month, and I didn't keep a journal >.<

Major events include using Google to find the econd entrance to Wayward Cave, and nabbing a Gible down there. I got a male Croagunk from the Great Marsh, and hatched three boxes of eggs with a Japanese Ditto (no shinies :( ). Selket became a useful member for traveling, but not so much for battling. I was a bit disappointed by Toxicroak's performance.

So I battled my way to and through Victory Road. Before taking the E4 challenge, I went ahead and peeked at what Cynthia's team was using Bulbapedia. Man, am I glad I did. Seeing that she had a Garchomp as well, I got a bit worried until I found out that Dusknoir learns Ice Punch. So I finally pulled Osiris back out of the PC and trained the crap out of him.

All of the E4 members went down with ease, although one of them did manage to KO Horus. Cynthia was another story entirely. The battle was essentially neck and neck the whole time - I took down one of hers, she took down one of mine, rinse and repeat. Osiris won against Garchomp by me spamming healing items until said dragon ran out of PP for Dragon Claw and Earthquake. One critical Ice Punch, and victory was ours.

Anubis the Lucario @ Fist Plate

Closing Remarks
This was a fun challenge, and a great way to explore Sinnoh for the first time. Having team members that represented Egyptian deities gave the team a sort of mystique that was very cool.

I love Egyptian mythology, so I find that challenge great! Also, you didn't mention the Sinnoh games, but I assume they are allowed?

Great, thanks!:) In that case, I'll post my progress:
Selket (lvl 22 Budew)
Ra (lvl 31 Monferno)
Shu (lvl 32 Staravia)
Geb (lvl 16 Gligar)
Badges:
Coal badge, Forest Badge
I started with Chimchar, caught Starly on route 203 with it and trained them both to decent levels. I beat the first gym using Ra's fighting moves, taught him rock smash. Afterwards I proceeded with the game, and on route 205 I caught Budew. I fought with both Ra and Shu in Gardenia's gym, trying to raise them to similar levels. After leaving Eterna city I caught Geb, but haven't trained him yet.

I'm still pretty early in the game... But I'll update after, say, beating 2-3 more gyms!
