Well, in the state I live in, over the past month (beginning of June), we have had 10 inches of rain! That's more than what we usually have in a year (not including snow of course XD)! Well, you'd usually think, "Why is she complaining? Rain is good!" I have a reason. All the farmers that live in my city don't like it. It drowns all their crops, meaning instead of profitting, they actually lose, since it's too late in the season to replant, and even if it were, are you going to spend that much money on buying new crops? Case in point: My neighbor has about 10 acres worth of fields. All the crops were doing well until we started to get rain. At first, he's like "Yay! My crops will get big now and I'll make more money!" But then it rained...and rained...and rained some more. Now, half of his crops are under at least 3 inches of rain, seeing how his fields go like this: ---_---, so the watergathers in one place. It's at least ruined 1/3 of his crop.
My mom's flowers are dying (;o; Pwetty flowers too...), and our garden is -probably- dead (seeing how we planted late - we always plant late, and don't ask why, 'cause I don't know XD). Which, in turn, leads to us buying from the store, so we lose money (even if the store gains it o.o). IMO, this will in turn lead to veggie prices jumping, since they will be in demand, because, well, you know.
Just thought I'd post that as a random tidbit for your day. I don't know if it'll stay open, but hey. I just wanted to tell you that. ^_^
