Electric/Metal Deck

Well I thought Electric and Metal would be a great combination, until I remembered I only have about 5 metal pokemon and my collection of Electric pokemon is mostly Pikachu, Mareep, and very little of anything else. The deck kept getting killed by a fighting/rock deck (duh) so I threw in a Mewto and a Kabuto and tweaked the Trainer cards a bit. Now Mewto sticks out like a sore thumb (My Electric/Metal deck is starting to look like a Mad Scientist deck!) and I'm still constantly loosing, not just to ground/fighting but to others as well. Please somebody help me figure this out! Should I scrap the idea?
Oh and this deck probably isn't legal for organized play, But I only play casually anyway.

I believe that the only sets that are legal are HGSS to the current.

She did say that it probably wasn't legal (which it almost entirely consists of cards that are not legal in either the current or the next format).

As for the deck itself, you need to focus on two types. Focus on type-weakness coverage. Pick one of the deck's two original types and add a type that cover's that type's weakness. If you're going to go for three types, try acquiring some Roseanne's Research to get energy from your deck faster.

I switched some things around a bit. I ended up eliminating Flaaffy and any MAreep as well. I also took out Mewto and the psychic energy. I decided Mysterious Fossil Egg was pointless just for one Kabuto with 30 HP so I added in some more that would rely on that card. Most include powers allowing me to bring out other pokemon that would rely on the Trainer card without re-using it. I also removed one of the Aron since all it did was gnaw for 10 damage. Most of the Metal pokemon have only colorless energy mentioned on their cards. I can keep things diverse and still keep mostly electric energy cards in my deck. Cards that were newly added:

Magneton X1 (Ex-Dragon 35/97)
Kabuto X1 (Neo Discovery 56/75)
Omanyte X1 (Neo Destiny 60/75)
Water Energy X2
Fight/Ground Energy X2

I figured at least this way, Though I wont be very effective still against Fighting/Ground decks I atlas have some cards that are somewhat easy to bring out that might actually stand a chance. I will work on getting energy seeking Trainer cards. I think a Rainbow energy would help this along tremendously but I don't know where to get one. We'll see how this goes.

Rainbow Energy was reprinted in one of the newer HGSS sets as an uncommon, so it should be easier to find now.

Ah ok. Last time I was in 5Below, they only had Triumphant packs. I'll check Walgreens and the like to see what I find.

I think in the mean time though, I'll make a list of my deck in a journal and make a different one. I'm tired of loosing Lol. Maybe I'll resurrect this one one day.
