Despite how disappointing this whole generation is overall, I do genuinely believe that we'll be much better in the eighth generation. Last time I checked we're close to hitting a plateau in terms of graphics, so engines will most likely work on being more efficient, so it won't be as risky to try out a new IP.
Now that I've seen some extra parts of E3 like gameplay on the showroom floor, I'm gonna say that Watch Dogs has been dethroned by Dishonored as my favorite game of the whole convention. It's been a long time since I've seen a game that unique.
