[Error] Elite Battle System Error "undefined method isVersion17? for NilClass"

Hello i have recently installed Elite Battle System on a fresh copy of Pokemon Essentials 17.2
and upon launching the game i get this error:

Script "EliteBattle_4" line 368 no MethodError occured.
undefined method `isVersion17?` for NilClass​

have you also installed luka's utilities above the ebs scripts? it's a prerequisite.

Doesn't seem like it. Looks like reading instructions is too tall an ask these days ...

I did but i put it under EBS.
Ill fix that.

Just to share the info here as a FAQ:

Error: undefined method `isVersion17?` for NilClass
Answer: Missing the mandatory Utilities Script (which has to be placed above EBS scripts)

Error: Uninitialized constant PokeBattle_SceneConstants::XXX
Answer: Missing the mandatory Settings script (which has to be placed above EBS scripts and is included in the pack)

Error: Errno::ENOENT (during sprite conversion)
Answer: Download the 4.4.11 patch
