Elite Eight

Seriously, how absolutely epic would it be if Sun & Moon implemented an Elite Eight instead of Elite Four? Let's say it goes like this:

1st Elite has level 50-52 Pokemon
2nd Elite has level 53-55 Pokemon
3rd Elite has level 56-58 Pokemon
4th Elite has level 59-61 Pokemon
5th Elite has level 62-64 Pokemon
6th Elite has level 65-67 Pokemon
7th Elite has level 68-70 Pokemon
8th Elite has level 71-73 Pokemon
Champion has level 74-84 Pokemon

The stakes would be SO HIGH. Would increase the challenge gradually.

I feel like it would be tiresome more than epic. Four + the champion is already a lot of battles, I don't think anyone would be up for the marathon-like challenge of 8 trainers + a champion.

The spike in levels simply wouldn't work either. In order to be able to stand a chance against the champion (after using enough potions, revives and PP aides to get through EIGHT battles), your pokémon would need to be so strong that the majority of the E8 would be laughably easy to beat.

Francois has a point, the level jumps are so absurd that you're likely going to need Lv100's if you want to destroy them easily. Neat concept you thought of, but it just wouldn't work well in the game.
