Embarrassing pokemon moments?

Well, most of us here are at the age where our peers think we should be grown out of pokemon. I'm confident most of us try to hide our secret love. ;)

So my moment was by my locker at school. I was about to go to French class when my folder fell out of my binder. (You know, when the holes rip and it doesn't stay in. So annoying.) When I picked it up, I was acidentally holding it upside down. Guess what tumbled out. Pokemon cards!

I didn't mean for them to be there. I got distracted from my homework the previous night and was going through some cards to trash. I had them everywhere. A couple must've gotten into my folder.

Anyways, my locker is right by the mass of populars' lockers. (Not my fault, by the way. I got to registration late.) All of the popular girls were there. They were just staring at the cards. -Ahhhh! So embarrassing!-

Luckily, a friend came along by. I pointed at the cards and started to laugh. I said to Lindsey, 'Ha! remember that!' Good thing she's smart and knew to play along. It took a bit to explain to her after.

Not much of a big deal to some people, but it was to me.

So... anyone else have a moment?

I never had one of those moments... which, once I think about it, makes this post pointless. Most of the people at Primary School loved Pokemon. However, if I ever had a moment like that I wouldn't really mind because I don't care what people think.

Naturally, I don't tell my friends about my liking of Pokémon. It's not that I'm embarrased by it, but I prefer to keep it to myself. So I never had an embarrassing moment.

I do joke about liking Pokémon though, and they would all remember the good old days where they used to watch it...

Everybody at my school thinks pokemon sucks.. so i keep it to myself, but once i found like a "secret fan club" in the home room i was quite happy ^^

I'm homeschooled, so it doesn't really matter. Last year I went to public school. I would bring my Gameboy to class and play whenever I could...and at lunch. I didn't really care who knew I still liked Pokemon.

I don't bring Pokemon stuff for the reason MissMegano said. If my friends come around i just hide my DP guide books even though they wont tell it can be something some kids will blackmail you with.

I brought my Mystery Dungeon handbook to read at school for fun, and this dumbarse pronounced it "Poe-kee-man" in an awful...American way. Embarrassed the whole series right there...

I usually get caught playing a pokemon game in class or talking about it at lunch with all of the geeks who hang out in the band room cuz we're all band geeks. Nothing super emberassing but now whenever we get assigned a project in any class people ask if im gong to do it on pokemon, like a poem or something.

I used to keep it to myself but recently since I've been talking about Pokemon with one other friend so much we got most of my other friends back into it! Which is awesome!

But in some classes I do have full blown conversations about Pokemon. This all happens right infront of the 'popular girls.' I could care less of what they think of me, if they don't like Pokemon nobody's forcing them to.

hmmm I'm probably older than a lot of you... i learned to embrace my Pokemon playing instead of being embarrassed by it. I parade the fact that I play Pokemon for Major League Gaming... I played in class all through out high school and i still play in the courtyard between classes now that I'm in college.. haha. Some girls even think its cute?

thats a good point, I've played pokemon at school once and 3 girls kissed me on the cheek ^^

Best day of my life ^^

MissMegano - WOW. Think i would of spontaneously combusted on the spot right there.
I am really paranoid about someone finding out about it. Luckily no-one yet has.
If someone does find it, i will be 'helping out my cousin'.
I once hid my Ruby in fear of a friend finding it and i actually lost it for a while.

Many boys in my school play the TCG.Thats why I'm not embaressed. My annoying friend once said to a guy 'do you like pokemon?' and he replied 'yeah' then my friend said 'it sucks' and he said back 'well, so do you' that made me feel good that someone likes pokemon.

I used to really hide my liking of Pokémon to everyone, but after joking around with my friends and saying, 'Oh remember when everyone was obsessed with Pokémon' and other such stuff, we've actually had load of discussions in class. One time I got my entire class talking about it and the teacher actuall yhad to tell us to shut up. The next day people were bringing in their old gameboys and Pokémon games and link cables. It was great! Now I've realised that probably more people than you think are 'closet pokémaniacs'! I still see people with their gameboys and it's about 3 months since I sorta started the craze off again. I've even convinced this girl in my year to get Pearl version so I can battle her using Diamond! Result!

I once learned my Typloshion 'Cut'.

    What?
    I was (even) young(er)! I didn't knew any better :D

I just keep quiet about my fandom of the series.

    'Nuff said.

If people found out that I liked it, I'd just turn it around and get into a discussion of what a Pokemon movie would be like if it was directed by Mel Brooks. That usually solves any standing issues. As it is, I'll usually see those same people playing on GBAs or DS systems (3 guesses what they're playing).

Seriously, playing Pokemon is pretty much the whole point of having a Nintendo handheld system nowadays.
