3rd Gen Emerald - new abilities?

    I just got pokemon emerald and was wondering if any pokemon have new abilities from the older third gen games. I checked on Bulbapedia and supercheats and some pokemon have different abilities than the ones i have on ruby and sapphire. Like, I tried to gameshark and areodactyl with rock head, but I kept getting ones with pressure. (I've tried this with several pokes) The sites say they have more than one ability in third gen games, but I can only get one. Anyone know?

    I think they all have the same abilities, but some are only obtainable in Emerald.
    you can check at https://dex.gtsplus.net/pokemon/Aerodactyl, there is described every effect they can have.
    Change Aerodactyl to something else to check another Pokemon.
     
    Not every Pokemon can get more than one ability, such as legendaries and starters. Aerodactyl, I think, should be able to get Rock Head. You're just unlucky I think... Or your GSing it wrong.
     
    All GBA Games share the same number, and kind of abilities. Only in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, did they add more abilities to the ones in RSFRLGE. And yes, only a fair amount of Pokémon can have 1 of 2 abilities (Gardevoir can haev Synchronize and Trace, for example). And about the Aerodactyl... you're just plain unlucky. ​
     
    Sorry, none that I know of, most pokemon didn't get new abilities until Diamond and Pearl came out.
     
    Well some pokemon may have 2 abilities, but once you catch a pokemon then it will randomly choose which one of its abilities it should know. I hope this helps...
