emerald or fr/lg

i was wondering which game to get as i hav ruby but want the old ones back(i.e. charizard). so which has a better choise, emerald or firered/leafgreen or are they the same. and finally do any feature the ones from gold/silver? thanks for your help

They don't have any reatures of G/S/C, but I think Emerald is the best.

Fr/Lg does not have any Pokemon from R/S/E. It only has the features that were in R/B/Y plus the Sevii Islands. I personally like Emerald a bit more than Fr/Lg, but both are great.

I would go with Emerald because it is simply newer and I like the newer pokemon as well. If you really want the older pokemon you can always use codes if you like.

both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Emerald is better overall cause it has R/B/Y and G/S?C move tutors while FR/LG just has R/B/Y move tutors. Also in Emerald you can get most of the extra Johto pokemon that you could catch in Colosseum in the extra Safari Zone areas, but many are still Kanto area only and you'll need FR/LG for those.

Well... if you already have ruby I suggest FR/LG because Emerald is a bit like ruby, but emerald is definately my favourite out of the two! Thats a hard one...

This is difficult but I'd choose Emerald. It has contests and the battle frontier.
However, you get the islands in FR/LG.

I like fire red a lot better than emerald, partly beacuse of......um........charmander? I like to see the altering of the MS that pokemons learn through level-up
