3rd Gen Emerald Team

Aren't you using your starter? Anyway:

Wailord shouldn't have 3 Water moves - try and get another Ice Beam TM and get rid of Waterfall. With Cradily, try AncientPower over Giga Drain or Secret Power. Ludicolo should have Surf, not Dive.

You might want to catch a better Grass or Electric type for the Champion - I suggest Manectric. Alternatively, another strong Pokémon which can learn Grass or Electric moves, such as Gardevoir, could also help. If Ludicolo has Swift Swim, Rain Dance would really help it get over its not-so-good Speed. Ludicolo will be your main Pokémon against Drake, due to Ice Beam, unless you catch yourself another Ice or Dragon type. I wouldn't really, though, since Dragon types are notoriously hard to train, and Ludicolo can do the job just fine.

A good Fighting-type will help against Sidney - try a Machamp or Medicham if you can trade, otherwise Breloom should be good, due to its fast level-up rate. Keep in mind that Breloom becomes a lot harder to level up at higher levels. Its Grass-type should also help.

Your main problem then will be Phoebe - but with level 50ish Pokémon, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If you're really worried, get a good Dark or Ghost move user. The aforementioned Manectric could fill this role with Bite - although it might be a good investment to breed for Crunch. Either level up a male Seviper to 28 and breed with a female Electrike, or catch a male Mawile in Victory Road which should already have it and breed. Manectric has great Speed and Special Attack, although you might want to teach it Wattson's Thunderbolt TM if you don't like Thunder's accuracy (learns at level 45 or TM25). Unfortunately, it can't learn Fire moves till DP, but special Crunch makes up for that.

The main thing is that in-game, you don't really need to plan a team, since you can just beat everything with some leveling. In multiplayer and Battle Frontier, team planning is a lot more important.
