Empoleon Any good??

    Looking at his type he's got mad defenses against alot and he's got some very unique moves...so i'm guna take a shot with a set of him.

    Grass Knot
    Agility

    I thought that since he can learn agility...he might be able to do what metagross does...jus a lil' diff. lol

    It probably sucks but i wana hear comments about it =)

    Empoleon=Worst Starter Ever. he is not bvery good at all. He has weaks to ground, fighting and eletric, which most pokes carry with them like pants. But here is a way to work with him a little.

    Empoleon
    Agility
    Surf
    Grass Knot
    Ice Beam
     
    why flash cannon? hydro pump covers it so grass knot or surf

    For STAB purposes really
     
    Empoleon is a unique pokemon.

    The best way to go for it is Naughty.
    Empoleon has aweful speed but picks up aqua jet...so why not get a atack boosting/speed hindering nature.

    He is actualy the most useful pokemon for a tactition.....If you have a magnet riser on your team....all that's left to concern your self with is fighting/electric. A focus sash/band(depending on how much hp it has) will be best equip for it.
    Mix-poleon is beastly...252 atk, 252 sp.atk, 6 hp with Flash Cannon, Hydro Pump, Aqua Jet and Shadow Claw is one to fear.

    That's a little ignorant to say....

    Along with those weakness...it has 11 resistances...

    EV: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 6 HP
    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Grass Knot
    -Agility

    It's gonna need the Special Attack to be an good sweeper. Life Orb makes it better. But Leftovers is always good to go with it's bulky like nature.

    I like the idea of combining megnet rising-Zone with Poleon...interesting...

    The only thing that is bad about your empoleon is that becuz u put full EV's in both atk's his def, hp, and speed(cuz of agility up top) will be horrible and he rly isnt the one to try and sweep with that ev spread. Maybe focus sash WOULD be better though.

    Not too sure bout the moveset either...i like aqua jet and pump but shadow claw isnt strong enuff and even i would go grass knot>flash cannon
     
    What's the max speed of an Empoleon anyways?

    I'm just curious...mines is adament @ 100 and only has 162 speed.

    EDIT: Well....I enjoy using unexpected move sets.....
    That one general works for me. It takes care of a wide array of pokemon so I don't get walled...The only thing that Walls empo is Blissey...but then again...I got an Aggron who sweeps thoose in 2 Brick Breaks :o

    very true about the resistances, which is why i think he is kind of over-looked.

    and when u mean *Atk* you mean sp. atk right ;)

    Idk bout modest...i dont even know how fast poleon WOULD be when hes agilitied...

    You are correct..But you get my point anyway. XD

    Empoleon has 22 less points in speed than Metagross. So with Max SpeedEV's with an Modest nature. It may out speed an jolly Garchomp.
     
    The special moves empo picks up is limited...but mostly stabbed.....so the power it generates helps itself.

    That's why I go mix-poleon.

    EDIT:I didn't think it could do it...

    maybe full speed with avalanche, water fall and steel wing...it might sweep.....
    But I'm happy atm with mines.
     
    Depends on IVs, and a Chomp would just EQ it, nothing left! Ifit has to use agility, that watses a turn for a chomp to switch in, if its faster, you;re screwed.
