The case for the next generation being In India just got a little stronger with the newest weather genie.

Its base form is clearly a nod to Shiva, but its Incarnate form is where it gets interesting! In the Hindu myth based on how the gods got their immortality, the gods needed to churn a mountain in order to get the immortality elixir. To churn the mountain Vishnu turned into a Giant turtle and had the mountain placed on his shell. While Shiva used his snake as a rope to wrap around the mountain and twist out the juices.

And what does the Incarnate form look like?
A turtle with a snake on top of it wrapped around what could be a tip of the mountain .

I've always felt the Kami-trio (quadruple?) was Indian inspired in some fashion. I don't think it's far fetched to believe they drew inspiration from Hinduism, even if gen 9 is set in a very Spanish-looking region.
