6th Gen Encounter Opower-Friend Safari-Shiny? Encounter Rate Increase?

    Hello I was curious if anyone has been able to successfully test whether or not the Opower(Encounter) has any effect on finding shiny's at all. Or if it is possible that it could help increase encounter rate for one? I'm particularly interested in if it has any effect in/at the Friend Safari? I do already know that the encounter rate is already much better then Wild Pokemon encounters.

    Friend Safari Shiny Encounter Rate: 1/2000 (Has been confirmed)
    Wild Pokemon Shiny Encounter Rate: 1/8000 (Not including chaining methods)
