It's that time again. Once more the annual PokéCommunity Get-Together is upon us - a little later this year, coinciding with our forum's anniversary. As always, we staff can't do this alone and are asking for you guys to help us out by signing up to be event organisers and host the various events that will make up this year's Get-Together.

So... what's the Get-Together?

The Get-Together is a long running and annual event we run on the forums. It's a purely online thing, named for people across the different parts of the community coming together and interacting in a bunch of fun events rather than for physical proximity. The Get-Together has taken many forms over the years, but the most recent incarnations have typically been competitions between two or more big teams with points being earned through participating in the different GT events. Typically, each Get-Together will have its own theme, story and lore to go along with it to add to the fun - more on that below.

This year's Get-Together will be running from October 9 until October 23.

The Theme

This year's theming is diving into a few different sources - Halloween, the Day of the Dead, Anniversaries and the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can read more about it right here:

Few general things:

- Just make sure every instance of Get-Together is the same.
- "long form events! -> "longform events".
- "Pokemon or gaming tournaments" -> "Pokémon or gaming tournaments".
- "Jackbox, pictionary" -> "Jackbox, Pictionary".

With regards to the EO submissions, we could provide an example for new EOs? We could even use a template to keep things tidy and simple, something like:

I like the idea of the parchment background but it's kind of hard to read.

I've changed it up a bit, however can revert back to the parchment too as I think I have resolved the issue of clashing tones etc!

With no extra is easy to read. Second one with the simple dark background isn't too bad. I think the problem is the heavy, stark white text with the background shadow. Because there's so much of it, it makes it look like the text is vibrating and it messes with my eyes. Especially when you have a really busy background behind it too.

Also, just from an aesthetic sense, the busier background and the parchment kind of clash with the css which might add to it also.
