Phaiel swiftly retreated from the black team's base, quickly strategizing a plan. Three other members followed behind him their eyes set on the black team's goal that was the pink team's orb. Shino quickly padded alongside Phaiel, watching for any threats that could affect the team's chances on the battlefield.

The pink team's orb hung directly over the pink team itself. At the moment, seven members were absent from the base leaving only six people guarding the fuchsia colored orb. Currently, they were all preoccupied watching the ensuing battle between the blue team and their capture team so the element of surprise was with Phaiel's group at the moment.

"Outnumbered 3 to 2 hmmm…" Phaiel turned to his team and began to brief them silently so as not to be spotted by the guards of the pink team. "Ok, we're outnumbered…"

"I gathered that much." Said one member rather rudely.

"Let me finish!" Phaiel hissed, "Apart from being outnumbered, which is a bad thing…"

    "No duh…"

Phaiel ignored the person and continued with the silent briefing, "… we also have the element of surprise and a type advantage against them. We all have dark type Pokémon so their psychic attacks will be useless against us. Now, we're going to storm their base and take their orb by force if need be. I'll lead the assault, the rest of you…"

A sudden wave of energy swept across the Battlefield, lightly sweeping the hair of most of the members and breaking Phaiel's train of speech.

    "WTF was that?" thought Phaiel.

The wave seemed to emanate from the black team's base. It was too far at the moment and Phaiel squinted to see the battle currently at home base.

"Damn, I wish I had binoculars or something." Phaiel cursed under his breath.

At the precise moment Phaiel said that, the bracelet, as if waiting for a command, started to glow bright green and suddenly a monocle of sorts lowered down from the top of the interior side of the helmet just behind the visor. After that, the monocle zoomed in onto headquarters where Phaiel could see everything. Some people were on the ground, apparently, the wave must have knocked them down.

"I guess it dissipates after spreading out." Thought Phaiel.

Turning his attention back to the matter at hand, Phaiel re-addressed his teammates.

"Where was I? Oh yeah, the rest of you will back me up and I'll punch in the numbers on the orb. Keep them occupied and we'll take turns to punch in our numbers. If possible, we could just take the orb away like that, but I'm not sure if it's allowed (OOC:Is it allowed?).

Phaiel zoomed in onto the pink team. It seemed that the wave had dissipated before reaching them so they were still unaware of anything and worriedly watching their current struggle with the blue team. Phaiel noticed the attacking portion of the pink team was obscured by a swathe of bubbles.

"Here's the plan," Phaiel said, turning back to his teammates. "I'll get Shino here to use smog and block their field of vision for a while before it clears, then I'll ask Shino to use ember quickly with the smog in place. Hopefully, with Shino using ember while also being a fire type , his ember will be amplified to 150%. This will hopefully, sufficiently confuse the enemy and throw them off-balance. While they're sufficiently confused, you with the Sneasel use faint attack and you with the Sableye use shadow ball on them after the smog clears. Am I clear?"

The members of the attack squad nodded in agreement and proceeded to carry out the plan.

The team members gathered in position then…

"Shino, use smog now!" shouted Phaiel. The members of the pink team turned, utterly confused as Shino took in a deep breath and exhaled a massive amount o thick sooty smoke from his mouth aimed for the pink team. Amidst a cacophony of coughs, Phaiel shouted, "The rest of you move in for the kill."

"Shino, ember!" Phaiel shouted as the other's advanced forward.

Then Shino opened his mouth, inhaled and let out a flurry of miniature embers at the pink teams base. Sableye and Sneasel then went in for the kill, Shino trailing behind with their trainers in tow.

    "Marina, come on!" Shouted Phaiel.

The black team progressed, looking as menacing as ever, bearing down for the kill…

    OOC;
Gah. Sorry for not posting much. Let me try and catch up.

    BIC;

That first night on Eos was probably the worst. It was dead silent in the Yellow Team barracks; Sara couldn't sleep unless there was a quiet, persistent noise like the hum of an air conditioner or whirring of a ceiling fan. What was worse, just as she began to slip off, a racket came from outside.

Sara opened her eyes and sighed. She debated on whether or not she should go investigate, but decided it was best not to get involved. It was about an hour later, when the noise had died down, that she finally managed to fall asleep. She would ask around the following morning about the noise.

But she didn't get the chance, of course. It only took an instant for the alarm to rouse Sara out of her fitful dozing. She was almost grateful; her dreams had been far from pleasant. She accepted the nutrition bars and water, withdrawing Leira as she listened to the Benfactors ramble on. She slipped one of the bars to the Dratini while mucnhing on one herself, all the while paying close attention to every word. She followed the robot out, making sure the rest of the team followed.

The Battleground looked very plain when Sara stepped into it, wondering for what the Benefactors had dragged them out of their beds. Leira looked curiously at the colored orbs, and Sara saw they were colored to match up with each team. She noted the flashing surfaces as the Benefactors further explained.

Sara really couldn't help smiling. Capture the Flag, then? Interesting choice, but she supposed if a team couldn't survive this, they didn't deserve to defend Earth from... whatever it was. Sara shook her head, focusing once more. The news that a person couldn't complete the puzzle alone made her scowl, though. She had been intending to have her teammates cover her as she dashed across the field to their designated 'flag' and finish the puzzle herself, but this changed things.

She spotted the Indigo flag, trying not to smirk at the assortment of bug types that made up that team's Pokemon. The ghosts there were enough to worry her, anyways. Taking her team bracelet with her other hand, she tried not to look surprised when the suit appeared out of nowhere. The helmet fit snugly over her head, and she pulled up the viosr for a moment so she could see clearly.

She turned to her team, clapping her hands together; she didn't know if she achieved her goal of making her second bracelet more obvious, but she spoke anyways. "Alright, team," she started, "I have a plan, but I want explain it to you all and see if you can find kinks," which I doubt, she thought to herself. Or she hoped. "We need some people here to guard the flag, of course, we can't have it open for the taking.

"So," she continued, eyeing each of the Pokemon in the group. "Considering the Green team is grass and steel, I think I'll only take three people with me to the flag... Elektrike and Bagon can come with me; I want the rest of you to stay here. If something is going wrong and you need some help, send the Pichu to me; it won't attract as much notice. And if I could use some help, I'll whistle twice. Any questions?"

"Yeah," the boy with the Voltorb spoke up. "You do realize I could get across that field just as well as you? If there's more people over here, why aren't you with the majority of the team?"

Sara arched her eyebrows. "True," she said, shrugging. If the boy had been smart, he woudl have eard the ice in her voice. "But then as Captain, I'll be honest. I don't know any of you well enough just yet to trust the entire challenge to you." There was a murmur. "So. We good?"

After a moment of hesitation, grumbled assents came from the team. Sara just hoped they woudln't realized they were outnumbered by all of the other teams... Hopefully three of the strongest Pokemon on the Battlefield could manage the 'troops' guarding the Indigo team's flag. She turned to the two in her group. "Ready?" she asked.

They both nodded, looking determined wiht their Pokemon by their sides.

With that, Sara plunged into the fray.

    "Lights on."
Kenji had been awake for approximately an hour. He knew not where he was, or how he got there. Last he could remember, he had been training, with Minnie.
    Minnie.
Kenji looked around the now illuminated room. He searched, scanning the faces of the crowd of people. He couldn't see her, but that didn't mean she wasn't there. A voice crackled over the loudspeaker.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the space station Eos," it said. "We are the Benefactors, your caretakers for this journey. We have chosen all of you because of your potential to serve as protectors for your planet. However, while all of you have potential, only a few of you will be selected. Hence, we introduce you to the games."

"Currently, you stand in a room called the Battlefield. Here, you will assemble with a group of your fellows to participate in games. Each game will test a different aspect of your mind and body. Lose these games, and you may be sent back to your home planet. Win, and you will move one step closer to the ultimate honor."

"Each of you is wearing a specially-designed bracelet. On the side, you will see a crystal. Press it once, and it will access the records we have of you to assign to you a team. Press it again to release a partner we have chosen for you. This partner will be your closest companion, and your team, your only allies. Get to know both here, and once you assemble with your teams, your escorts will guide you through the rest of the ship."

    "Good luck."

Kenji tried to get up, standing on another guy's leg in the process. He opened his mouth to apologize, and was shoved.

"Retard. Don't mess with me." Kenji heard the teen say. He gritted his teeth. 'Stay Calm, Kenji. Just ignore him', the little voice inside his head told him. He brushed himself off as he leapt to his feet. There was a general hubbub of noise circulating the room. It was now that he noticed the bracelet on his arm. He pressed a small button protruding from the top. A electronic voice buzzed to life.

"Name: Kenji Enigma Darkrose Age: 16. Occupation: Pokemon Trainer. Endurance:Very High. Intelligence: Above Average. Strength: Very High. Nationality: Kanto. Team: White. Captain of White Team." A small white beam shot into view, and a robot advanced towards him. It placed another bracelet around his right wrist, adjacent to the other. Another button popped out. A beam of light erupted from the bracelet, and a pink and blue Pokemon came forth. Kenji recognized it to be a Porygon.

"So, you're my partner for this... ordeal. I'm Kenji", He spoke, offering a hand. The Pokemon digitized a hand from one of it's prism legs. "Interesting... This could be very handy." Movement from the first robot interrupted his conversation.

"White Team", it buzzed. "Follow me". Kenji looked around, at his team members. Their Pokemon were Normal type. This clicked in his mind, and he proceeded to follow the robot.

    ---
(OOC: Going to skip the tour.)
    ---
Kenji walked into the Library. Although, to call it a library was slightly presumptuous, there wasn't a book in sight. Computers, rows and rows of them. Kenji looked up and down the rows. He was alone in the library, with the exception of a few robots.
    Perfect.
Kenji walked up to one, sitting before it. Porygon floated up silently behind him.
"Pory, I want you to hack your way into the LAN system." The Pokemon dissolved in front of his eyes, and shot into the computer, through a USB port. There was a brief pause, then a blue box opened on screen. A icon of Porygon showed, along with a button.
    DOWNLOAD?
He clicked it. A progress bar appeared, and with a few minutes it finished. 100%. Complete. Porygon ejected itself from the computer, and materialized with a USB drive around it's neck. Kenji took the drive.
"Interesting. This is very useful." Porygon morphed a hand and typed on the keyboard. 'I have installed programs to track usage on these computers. Would you like me to activate them?' Kenji scanned the words, and replied simply; "Yes." Porygon typed in a few commands. There was a low hum, then the computer returned to it's docile state. The duo walked, or rather, in Porygon's case, floated out of the room. Kenji remembered the layout of the ship, and proceeded to walk downstairs, to the Training Rooms. He walked into one, as another student left. A robot explained how things worked in the rooms. Kenji decided to try out zero-gravity, since it seemed to be the default setting. At first, it was disorientating, however, Kenji soon became used to the gravity. He tried some techniques out for moving around. He called for Porygon.
"Sharpen!" he commanded. Porygon altered it's shape, so it became a long pole, with a point at the end. He picked it up, swung it in numerous directions. He stayed, training in the room for another hour.
    ---
He returned to his 'barracks', as they were called, at approximately 21:55. The rest of his team were either already in bed, or about to be in it. He strolled in, and all eyes were on him. Kenji smiled.
"Evening Boys. My names Kenji, I'm your Team Leader, whatever that means. This is my partner Pokemon, Porygon. Now get to bed, we've got a big day ahead of us." He climbed into bed, and lay upon it just as the lights went out.
    ---
    Beep.Beep.Beep.
The room flooded with light, as a robot entered the room. There were murmurs of anger, but Kenji was awake. The familiar voice of the 'Benefactors', as they called themselves, spoke through the system.

"Good morning, players," it quipped. "Today, we have decided to introduce you to the games you will be playing. We're so excited to get things started we're running on an unusual schedule today. Normally, we would give you plenty of time for breakfast and socializing, but today... Today, you're to report to the Battlefield in fifteen minutes. Follow the robots if you don't remember where it is." The robot removed nutrition bars and bottles of water from their chest cavities, handing one to each player and pokemon. They gulped them down, appreciating the substances. Taste mean't nothing. Kenji rose, and addressed his team.

"Looks like we've got ourselves a game. Let's head down there. Follow me." Kenji strode down the corridors to the Battlefield. The team followed close behind. They arrived quickly, to see other teams sleepily running in.

"Welcome to Round One. Today, you will be competing for the Knowledge Fragment and the ability to remain on the ship. Only one of you will get this award, and today, it goes to the team that succeeds in finishing the puzzle first. The team that finishes it last or fails to complete it at all, however, will be the one to be escorted off Eos.

"This game will be Capture the Flag, but it's not the kind you may be used to. Each of the ten orbs in this room contain one flag. Ten orbs. Ten teams. It's your goal to capture the flag of the team you're assigned to." The Benefactors explained the game, and a plan immediately began to form in Kenji's mind. The boy's donned their battle gear as he explained it to them.

"Alright guys, I've got a plan. Here goes..."

OOC: All good so far? Trying to sum up 3-4 posts in one.

"Keep it up, Poliwag! Stall them as long as you can!" sneered a trainer in a blue-tripped jumpsuit.

Majella frowned. She wasn't one for stalling tactics, and had no idea how exactly how to counter it with a strange Pokémon. She took a step back, sweating. Her jumpsuit wasn't made of a breathable fabric. Scowling, she eyed her Pokémon. He was snarling, standing straight. He stared down at the Poliwag.

He tried to counter, but the opposing Poliwag was equal in power. Every move he made was easily countered. He jabbed futilely the Poliwag's squishy skin. For a Pokémon with only two feet, it was quick, and both Pokémon were at a battling standstill.

She wondered quickly how long the battle would last, but then, repeating the same move over and over made her Pokémon more vulnerable. Both of them were tired!

"Could she rely on Poison Poke activating? Poison Poke… no wait…was that…

    "What moves do Nidoran learn…"
she thought. "They learn a move with a silly name… Fatter!"

"Stall this!" Majella smirked, and added a command: "Flatter!". She pointed her index finger at him.

Pocky closed his eyes, and smiled as his teeth began to glow. He broke free from the stalemate. The Pokémon spat out a faint ball of light, which exploded loudly, showering light on the Poliwag. Skipping gleefully, Pocky leaped behind the tadpole. A faint scratching of his talons could be heard.
He danced briefly, chattering positive words to him, and whispered positive mews into its ears. Finally, he smiled encouragingly at the opponent.

Pocky seemed to enjoy this attack more than Poison Sting or Tackle. He didn't particularly care that this move may not end well. Not that Majella remembered anything about a power-up for the Poliwag!

    OOC:

Sorry about kinda abandoning this for awhile. ._. Real life caught up with me a bit. Hope there's still interest in continuing.

Also, speeding things along. Sorry it's taking forever for a round. I promise future rounds won't be like this.

    ---

    IC:

Pink Team didn't see it coming. Literally. Before they could act, the smog enveloped their guards, and in the moment that they were busy coughing and trying to wave away the smoke, fire rained down on them. Without thinking, they darted away, trying to avoid the heat and pain.

In the meantime, the pink orb was wide open. A stray fireball had hit its surface, and apparently, that was enough contact to bring up the lock. On its face, in glowing figures, was a diagram:

    1 _ _
    _ _ _
    _ _ _

Above them, Majella continued her fight against Blue Team. The poliwag stopped at the sound of the nidoran chattering and putting on its sweetest smile. In that instant, the tadpole couldn't help but smile. Although the nidoran's chatter might have sounded like ordinary chatter to anyone who didn't speak pokémon, to a pokémon, it was more than ordinary praise about the beauty of one's Bubble attack. It was like saying Poliwag was the hottest creature to hatch out of an egg. In more ways than one.

Hence, Poliwag puffed out its chest (or a poliwag's equivalent thereof) and chirped a thanks in response. In the meantime, its trainer frowned.

"Poliwag, don't just stand there!" he said. "Use Hypnosis!"

The poliwag paused for a moment and then narrowed its eyes. Suddenly, it turned, inhaled, and blew a thick stream of bubbles from its mouth at its own trainer. Evidently, the tadpole had no interest in battling a pokémon that gave it quite a compliment and thus preferred to blast its own trainer backwards several feet instead.

But, on the other hand, its back was now turned.

At the same time, White Team members were sailing rapidly towards the Red Team's orb. The majority of the Red Team had gone off in different directions, but three members: Vulpix's trainer, Chimchar's trainer, and Charmander's trainer, remained behind. The pokémon floated above the orb, watching the oncoming trainers intently. Then, without warning, all three of them blasted jets of flame towards the invaders. Evidently, they had their orders long before the White Team came within hearing range; the trainers did nothing more than float beside their pokémon with smirks on their faces.

In the meantime, for lack of any better ideas, Bagon's and Electrike's trainers exchanged glances, shrugged, and pushed off the doorway to follow Sara with their pokémon in tow. For the most part, things started off rather quiet, with not a single pokémon or trainer attacking the trio. However, partway there, a fog suddenly appeared around the indigo orb to create a large, black cloud dotted with red eyes. Soon, it might be apparent as to why. The only trainers that were headed towards Indigo Team's assigned orb were equipped with Bug-types. That, of course, meant that the entirety of the team remaining were right now preparing to shoot volleys of Night Shade at the oncoming trainers.

Finally, the Orange Team. With four pokémon defending the three trainers, Alexis and the two she designated as her helpers passed through the barrier of Black Team's guards. With Alexis shouting orders and pressing the occasional button, the three of them were making quick work of the barrier. It took them two more tries before finally, the black barrier fell. Reaching down, the three of them grabbed the flag together.

    Overhead, a bell toned.

"Orange Team has claimed Black Team's flag," a voice boomed. "Orange Team claims first victory. Members may retreat to the hallway or remain in the game to aid other players."

Looking up, Alexis smiled. "Well, that is an interesting idea."

Her glance swept around the room, studying each of the teams. Then, she gazed at the Black Team members around her, each of whom floated in shock at their own defeat. Finally, she turned to Lance.

"Go back into the fight and help the Black Team," she ordered. "I think they would make nice allies."

She, of course, didn't realize that her diplomacy really sucked.
