The region of Lyre . . . a place of beauty, a place of magic, and a place of trouble. That's why, ages ago, before anyone can remember, a team of justice was established known as the Elite Pokemon Team, or just EPT. They've shunned trouble and battled evil whenever it's chosen to rear its ugly head, and continues to do so today.
You have just been assigned to a new branch of the EPT. You're a Pokemon who's been thrown into a team with four others. You're training is finally over, and you're ready to start you're very first mission! You're ancestors have been elite members of the EPT for as long as anyone can remember, so there's a lot riding on your shoulders to succeed!
The five co-leaders of the EPT's branch in Crescent Isle of the Lyre Region see a lot of potential in your squad, so you better not let them down. Get out there, try your best, and give it your all!
Crescent Isle is always filled with things to do, from helping an elderly Pokemon with something to the occasional robbery or Pokemon rampage. There's always something for a junior EPT squad to do, so you better be ready!
(A different storyline will eventually work its way into this role-play, but for now, this will basically be like Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon with a few twists. So please bear with me if my "plot" is a little too short, I just don't want to reveal anything until the time comes)
You start out the role-play by standing around in the waiting area of the EPT base. Your superior is on his way to give you your very first assignment! You must be very excited. You need to work together with your fellow squad members to achieve each task that is thrown your way.
Rules
# The very first rule is to follow all of the main role-playing rules here on PC. If you don't know what those here please read this and this.
# Another rule is that you must listen to everything that I say, otherwise you will be booted. That means if I tell you to stop spamming, writing one-liners, ect., then you will no longer be in this role-play.
# Please respect everyone here, not just me. Insulting your fellow role-players is certainly not going to help you.
# No god-modding or player control, and if you don't know what that means, I'll tell you. God-modding is when you try to make your character invincible, which they aren't. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, so please keep that in mind. Player-control is when you try to control some else's character, which is also against the rules. Please try to keep that stuff to a minimum or better yet, none at all.
# Please, PLEASE stay active. If you don't get on PC at least a couple times a week, then DON'T JOIN THIS ROLE-PLAY. I've had bad experiences with people joining my role-plays and then just disappearing, ruining the whole thing. Please, respect me and this RP enough to stick around and actually do it, I beg of you.
# Lastly, and most importantly, have fun!
Here is a list of Pokemon that you can choose from to be, I will only allow one of each type, so once one has been taken, you must pick something else. Sorry.
(No starters, sorry. I decided to try some different Pokemon)
Nidoran M
Nidoran F
Poliwag
Cleffa
Hoppip
Wooper
Teddiura
Tyrogue
Smoochum
Elekid
Magby
Whismur
Azurill
Skitty
Poochyena
Machop
Oddish
Sandshrew
Igglybuff
Pichu Taken
Wynaut
Phanpy
And that's it. I know that kinda limits what you can be, and you might not like any of these Pokemon, but no one is forcing you to join this.
Oh, and I will only allow four other people for a total of five. That means the four best people I see, even if you signed up before someone else, will be chosen. If two people are so good and I can't pick between you then I'll accept both of you, even if I break the limit of five.
(Just one more thing. If a Pokemon you like doesn't have enough attacks or anything, then I'll think about giving you a tutor, egg, or TM move, depending on the situation)
Here's how all the attacks and things work. Since I'm not going to keep track of levels, experience, and all that (I hate it >>), here's how it's going to work. Your Pokemon may learn any attack that it can learn until it evolves to the next stage.
Let's take Phanpy for instance. It evolves at Level 25, so it would be able to learn Take Down, Flail, Defense Curl, Growl, Tackle, or Odor Sleuth. As the game progresses, I will let everyone evolve (If you want), and then a new pool of moves will be available.
Each Pokemon may only know four moves at any given time. When you sign up, you may pick four moves and then you will have to stick with them. Upon evolution, you may pick four new moves, three new moves, ect. out of whatever may be available then. If you don't understand this, then ask, and I'll try to explain it a bit better. (You can see an example of this when I make my sign-up. OH YEAH, one more thing--You can pick four moves, and then Tackle will be a fifth, default one. Please keep that in mind. ^^)
Here's the sign-up sheet. Some things are optional, while others aren't.
Name: Do you have one, or would you like to be called by your species name?
Attack: Which attacks do you have? (Please keep a running log of this through the role-play)
Species: Which Pokemon are you?
Gender: Male or Female?
Description: Do you have any special markings, accessories, ect?
Personality: How do you act, feel, and think?
History: What's happened in your lifetime? (Keep in mind that you're still basically kids)
Role-Play Sample: Mind giving us a taste of your skill?
Other: Anything else we should know? (Optional)
Here are just a couple of things so that we don't get confused. Your Pokemon will be speaking in English, so let's keep that straight. You may run into other rare Pokemon, possibly even some legendaries (hint hint XD), but you may not catch them. (Duh xD) You aren't a human, so this isn't going to go like most role-plays go, so be careful. Well, I guess that's it . . . Oh wait, I guess I better give you an example sign-up, so here's mine.
Name: Sparky "Scout"
Attack: Tackle, Thundershock, Thunderwave, Tail Whip, Sweet Kiss
Species: Pichu
Gender: Male
Description: Scout has a small scar on his tail from where he was attacked by a Poochyena as a small baby. He also wears a blue bandana on his right ear that he found in Star Forest. It never leaves his side, and he is terrified whenever he loses it. Other than these two things, he looks like your typical Pichu.
Personality: Scout can be very quiet at times, and at others he will be very social. Sometimes he will want to be around others, while at certain moments he may want to be left alone.
He can be friendly at one moment, then cold the next. His mood fluctuates a lot. He enjoys battling and always tries to make it a fun experience, unless something is at stake. Then he becomes ruthless, merciless, and outright cold. He takes certain things very seriously, and makes a game out of everything else. He tries to see the good in everything and everyone, no matter what they've done.
History: Scout was born in Lyre to the famous Raichu Duo, two elite members of the EPT. They retired soon after having children so that they could devote their time to their kids. As a result of this Scout always felt loved, surrounded by family who gave him attention and love.
Scout grew up, watching his older sister evolve into a Pikachu and leave Crescent Isle to explore the land of Lyre. This upset her parents and made her siblings feel terribly sad, Scout in particular. He thought having so many siblings was perfect, as there was always something to do and someone to do it with. Now his older sister was leaving!
Scout continued to grow, training hard under his parent's watchful eye in hopes that he would one day be accepted into the EPT.
While training in Star Forest, an angry Poochyena happened to run into an unsuspecting Scout. The hound took Scout by surprise and attacked him, leaving him a memory of the event that he would never forget--A terrible wound in the tail that he would have for the rest of his life. The wound has healed considerably since then, but the scar will remain forever.
After many more months of giving it all, the EPT has finally decided to let him in! Scout is so excited that he can hardly stand it. He stands in the main base, his body shaking in excitement . . .
Role-Play Sample: Ha ha, I don't have to give you one. . . why, you ask? Because I said so. =D
Other: Scout's real name is actually Sparky. He tries to get everyone to call him Scout, but everyone calls him Sparky, to his dismay. Strange, huh?
Guess that is everything you need. So get those sign-ups in and let's have some fun!
