Eternal Nightmare - [PG-16]

as Lucifer stood up, he was suddenly empowered with some magical aura, and Lucifer had no idea why. He looked at his paws, then his body. He was surrounded by his red, luminous Aura, ten times stronger than he was meditating. A blessing? From who?

Lucifer could barely feel the pain in his feet, and he had never felt so relaxed and jumpy in his life. Silver, was that your blessing? he sent out a signal, sending it into the Mew, wherever he was.

His aura was fully charged again, and his glowing aura around him was the proof.

You have potential. Work for me, and I will remove the curse from you. You will have sweet dreams again.

There it was again. Growling, Lucifer sent a thought back where it came from. He didn't know who he was thought...he could be anybody... Show yourself, coward. I am not working for someone that's hiding from me. Who are you? Darkrai? A puny Gastly trying to scare us?

I am not hiding from you, fool. I am waiting for you.

That helped, Lucifer rolled his eyes and when he was about to reply again, he was interrupted by another thought.

Who are you? Where am I? I'm Volk, a Joltik. Where are my friends?? I can't seem to move my body, a strange force is controlling it. You may not be able to see but there's a Mismagius around us..or in me. She appears often and I think she caused this to happen to me.

So it was the Joltik speaking. Glad that he could think and reply. Volk, it's me, Lucifer. The Lucario that you pissed off earlier in Paranoia. and don't be afraid if you hear that message...we got it too. Do you think you can wake up, spider?

When he mentioned about a Mismagius, Lucifer quickly glanced around, but saw nothing. He spotted a stairs, leading to the second floor though. Darkrai, or whoever he was, was waiting up there.

***

"They're coming, master. And your message has been sent successfully. I have been watching them in the shadows, and they seemed confused and angry about it." the Gengar bent down, not looking at his Master.

"Let them be. When they arrive, they're bound to accept my offer." the master spoke, his voice echoing in the large hall on the third floor.

Silver heard Lucifer but ignored it.

What am I to you, Lucifer? What makes you hate me so?

He sighed and shook his head. He ddn't like Lucifer anymore. He still loved him, like a brother, but Lucifer destroyed that. He hugged Julie tighter, and he saw the spirits around him. One had spoken, offering sweet dreams. He didn't trust it for a second.

(active guys...btw...silver your posts are getting short, careful :) )

What am I to you, Lucifer? What makes you hate me so?

That was a simple question, Lucifer heard Silver's voice, and shook his head. He wasn't even his REAL brother, they didn't share the same blood inside them, and they weren't even related...he was just a mew..disguised as a Lucario all this time.

You're a Mew, I'm a Lucario. Why couldn't I see through your transformation before...We aren't even related, Silver...I don't hate you...I just have no reason to continue as your brother, since i'm not.

Lucifer placed a paw on his head and sent the thought back to his ex-brother.He had been acting, pretending, disguising all this time. Why did he turn into a Lucario anyway? Why not something else? Something better? Why did he need to trick Lucifer?!Lucifer looked at the stairs that led to the second floor, and the others, "Let's get going."

Silver heards the response and sighed in disbelief.

Is that really what you think?

Silver slapped Lucifer across the face, with some power behind it too. He glared but flew back to Julie and sighed.

I can't believe you. You think it was all an act? You think I was faking? Just acting? If you really think that, then maybe you don't deserve a brother! But let me tell you this Lucifer: I never once acted or tricked you. What happened in the past, was real. Had I known what I was before, I would still love you like a brother. But obviously you don't care enough to see past that. Just know that that in itself hurts more than any attack.

Sparky heard the weird message too. "Sparky the Shinx..." He looked around. "Yes?" he asked. "You have potentional. Work for me, and I'll remove the curse from you. You'll have sweet dreams again." Sparky felt happy. "Cursyfree, cursyfree!" He started dancing. "I'm Volk, a Joltik..." Sparky slowly heard, but it faded away quickly. "Come to me and see me at my room. Show the guards this paper." suddenly appeared in his head, and out of nowhere, a paper was formed in his paws. Sparky showed the others the paper. "Mr. Lucario, do you know where I should go with this paper to have good dreams again?" he asked to Lucifer.

(sorry I was gone again, my browser wouldn't work :( )

Shade woke up with a start from her nightmare and looked around. The small Zorua started whimpering and enterd Darkrai's castle to search for the group. It took awhile but she finally found them and rain right into a dark colored Lucario. The little Zorua's eyes where full of fear and she trembled whimpering "I'm sorry, do-don't hurt me". She kept looking up at him afraid he would hurt her like her parents had. Shade hadn't even noticed the other's with the Lucario just stood before him trembling in fear.

Silver tried to get some sense into the black Lucario, but Lucifer just growled and turned away, "Stay away from me Silver, I am trouble to you. If you still want to be my brother, then stay away, so I'll consider. If you don't, don't you talk to me again. From now on I'm going solo without a brother."

Apparently people happen to bump into Lucifer all the time, as he continued to walk, he felt a furry Pokemon nudge him below. This was happening wayyyy to often so Lucifer just rolled his eyes. He DID look scary with those red crimson eyes and his darkish aura still surrounding him, so the little Pokemon had a reason to be afraid.

If he treated the Zorua like he used to, Silver and Xandra would kill him on the spot, so Lucifer stopped himself from doing so.

"Stop trembling you're not going to die." Lucifer said coldly and moved to a side, ignoring her for the moment. The little girl Zorua continued to shiver, so Lucifer made a tiny, teeny ball of red aura and shoved it into the Zorua's paws, to keep her warm.

"There, happy now?" Lucifer asked and started to walk up the stairs, "The 'Master' is waiting for us upstairs."

Shade watched as the Lucario shoved a small ball of aura in her paws to keep her warm. The ball was small and red and made her feel warm and safe. Shade was confused though, that Lucario easily could have hurt her like her parents would have but he didn't, instead he gave her the aura sphere to keep her warm. Looking after him she dropped the aura sphere and followed him up the stairs. "Who's the 'Master'?" she asked him shyly as she followed him confusion and still a small bit of fear in her eyes.

Hearing the Zorua's question, Lucifer turned and thought for a while.

"I have no idea." Lucifer replied as he continued to walk up the stairs, but when he looked at the corridor, the others needed him, especially Volk. Lucifer walked down and scooped Volk up and the black Shinx, then walked towards the second level once again.

The Black Shinx asked a silly question and Lucifer smirked, "If you think you're capable enough, I think he's up there."

"I have no idea who the 'master' is, but he ain't good." Lucifer told her again, looking into her horrified eyes, "By the way, what are you doing here? This ain't your playground."

Where was Cain? He was nowhere to be seen, and Lucifer frowned. No matter, Lucifer walked up the stairs, his steady footsteps could be heard everywhere as the sounds echoed around the corridor of the second floor. Once he got there, he received another message.

Lucifer the Lucario. Surviving the first floor proves that you have potential. If you want to sleep and have sweet dreams again, visit the third floor. I'm waiting for your arrival.

Not again. But yes, Lucifer did want to sleep, he hadn't slept in days....

Shade looked at him. "My mommy and daddy left me before this happened." she said looking at him and he heard a tone of fear on the words 'mommy' and 'daddy'. "I heard you guys are here to put a stop to the curses....and I want to help. I may be nine but my nightmares are worse than anyone could think" she added softly. "I just want to help" she said again. Just because she was a kid didn't mean that she wouldn't be able to do some good to help. Hopefully they don't ask about my parents she thought

Silver frowned.

Maybe I was wrong about you. I know any brother of mine would not be so heartless. I'f you're so easy to forget everything we've ever done, all of our adventures together, everything that made us brothers, then forget it. You don't deserve to be my brother. You don't deserve to be anyone's brother.

Those words probably stung, but Silver did not care anymore. If Lucifer thought of him as something worthless and easily replacable, he was in dire need of a few lessons. Silver was done now. He hugged Julie with an exhausted sigh.

"You're all I have left..." He muttered, holding her tight.

Cain growled as the voice kept penetrating his head. He tried to get it out, but to no avail. It was then that he noticed that the others had gone up ahead without him. He snarled, mostly to himself, and charged up the stairs at top speed. He reached Lucifer and Xandra, who was with a small Zorua. Cain eyed the Zorua suspiciously.

"What is that? An enemy hostage? Shall I roast her for questioning? She might no something about this whole dang mess."

Cain walked forward with them, giving (apparently) angry looks at the Zorua, but that was actually how his normal face looked. His voice was calm, even if it also sounded like he was angry. Cain heard the voice again.

Cain the Houndoom. Surviving the first floor proves that you have potential. If you want to sleep and have sweet dreams again, visit the third floor. I'm waiting for your arrival.

Cain would be the first to admit that he was tired, but he REFUSED to work for anyone. He would die first, and he would certainly have nightmares first.

(Lucario, Sapphyre was standing next to Lucifer and Volk.)

Sapphyre was relived when Volk awoke again. She growled when a voice entered her head. You have potential. Work for me and I will remove the curse from you. You will have sweet dreams again. Who are you?! What do you want? Sapphyre thought, hoping the voice could hear her. I'm just someone that wants to help take those nasty nightmares away. Sapphyre pursed her lips angerily. She didn't trust this voice for a second. Get lost! She thought angerily and the voice didn't speak again. Sapphyre looked around, the others had went up the steps. She quickly walked after them.

Once she stepped into the room the voice spoke again. Sapphyre the cubone. Surviving the first floor proves that you have potential. If you want to sleep again and have sweet dreams, come to the third floor. I am waiting for your arrival. Didn't I tell you to get lost?! Sapphyre thought angerily. She didn't know who this voice was, but she wanted to go to the third floor just so she could punch whoever it was. Sapphyre shook her head to get out of her thoughts and looked at the others. A Zoura had joined the group. She was shaking slightly.

Volk the Joltik. Volk's mind was drifting in and out of unconscious and he felt Lucifer carrying him up to the next floor. Surviving the first floor proves that you have potential. If you want to sleep and have sweet dreams again, visit the third floor. I'm waiting for your arrival.

Who....who...are you-you?
Volk's static pouch quivered and a stab of pain from where his abdomen flushed through him. His feet tingled with numbness before a flash of movement stung it. He tried to move a limb.....but nothing happen. Volk tried if he could see use moves. His mouth twisted and stretched as he got use to having his body back. A sphere of electricity formed, followed by a fusion of several sparks. The air crackled as the Joltik played with a tiny ball of potent firework lights.

Well, I can make Electro Balls now. How about Signal Beams?

The electric energy ball exploded into a cloud of dust and vanished. Soon, it was replaced by a growing morphing colour-changing ray of quirky light. The beam of particles expand and contract, flashing emotional colours of blue, silver and black before Volk accidentally wavered his control over the active Signal beam and it went off rocketing down the corridor. It released and disintegrated lumps of bright pink and sizzling viridian as it ricochet off the walls before finally erupting into a blast of fantastical purple, azure blue, grey and orange-gold.

Volk glanced up at the dark Lucario marching forward and carrying him. "Lu-lu...luci...f-f-fe-rrr..." Volk managed another muffled sound, "Lucifer....I'm...ba-bacck..." His voice had taken on a nerveless slur, making him speak with a weird tone.

Volk tried to get off Lucifer, he didn't want to be a burden. The Joltik scrambled onto his limbs and bristled a coat of static over his body. The electricity rejuvenated him not long before he stumbled into a sighing yellow heap. He felt weak without energy and his eyes lolled into white. His subconscious on the verge of slumber.

(Mismagius effect wore off! But Volk is very weak and can't do much for now)

"Lu-lu...luci...f-f-fe-rrr..." Volk managed another muffled sound, "Lucifer....I'm...ba-bacck..."

The little Joltik spoke to him, and Lucifer looked at Volk. Well, now he could recognize him, but he sounded really weak, judging by his voice and his trembling. What happened to him? Lucifer had no idea but he had to save everyone, or they couldn't stand a chance against Darkrai.

Volk then tried to get off him, and eventually he succeed. Seeing him on the ground once again, Lucifer scooped him up once more, shooting a look that meant don't move.

The second floor looked rather quiet, as nothing had happened after the message. Which was rather strange. Suddenly a shadow ball hit Lucifer from behind, pushing him onto the ground, pushing Volk away before he could squash him with his chest spike.

"You'll have to go through me first, Lucario." the Gengar that was talking to his master appeared with his cocky white smile as he prepared another shadow ball attack.

Silver appeared behind the gengar. This entity was evil. Silver took the form of Gallade, and used psychic abilities to trap the Gengar. "You will talk, or you will perish..." He tightened his mental grip, and glared at the ghost. "Talk..."
Silver looked irritated, and he was. At Lucifer, at Gengar, at everything. Happy, cheery Silver was gone, leaving behind only the dark, serious Silver. No fooling around.

Suddenly Silver appeared behind the Gengar and trapped it with Psychic abilities, locking him up in a cage-like crate. Then the cage started to contract, squashing the Gengar as the ghost Pokemon screamed in pain.

Lucifer was surprised. Silver had never been this cruel, and his voice...his voice was different. What happened?

"You will talk, or you will perish..." He tightened his mental grip, and glared at the ghost. "Talk..."

Lucifer's eyes widened as he said the word 'perish'. His ex-brother would never say such a thing, or do something as cruel and painful as this. Something was absolutely wrong, but a smirk was on his face instead of a frown. He liked this new Silver. He was a little like Cain, and himself - No mercy. To Lucifer, this was an improvement.

"I-I'll never talk!" the Gengar screamed, throwing a dark shadow towards Silver as their shadows met mentally, "If I perish, you will too! Our destinies are bonded now!"

Cain watched the scenario play out. The odd Pokemon known as Silver, a transforming Pokemon, turned into a Gallade, and surprised the Gengar. Cain watched in silence as the events played out. Silver seemed to be much different when he first met up with him a while back. Now, Cain felt he and Silver were a lot more alike than before. Of course, they had many differences still, like, to Cain, Silver seemed to be a dark sap, a heartless bleeder. Meaning, Silver acted upon emotional events that made him this way. Cain was just naturally arrogant, crude, and rash. But not even Cain was completely lacking of boundaries and stability.

Cain snarled as Silver was bound with the Gengar. He snarled and growled a bit, then looked at Lucario. He leaned in and spoke to him.

"Maybe we should be rid of both of them here and now? The Gengar could be trouble, but the Gallade is unstable in his personality, far too changing. I don't think I trust him. Call it instinct. He gives in too much into his emotions. I know he's your ex-brother, but I don't really like the idea of a changing freak with us."

Lucifer watched as his brother continued to contract the cage walls. He was totally different, all right, and rather strange, he might add. But he didn't plan to butt in because Silver was actually doing a good job right now, and Lucifer was enjoying the moment. The atmosphere was tense, and the Gengar stared right into Silver's eyes, like he wasn't afraid of anything. Then again, maybe he really wasn't.

This new Silver was impressing Lucifer, since he was as cold-blooded as he was. Smiling Lucifer cheered him on quietly.

Just then Cain arrived and leaned towards Lucifer and whispered, "Maybe we should be rid of both of them here and now? The Gengar could be trouble, but the Gallade is unstable in his personality, far too changing. I don't think I trust him. Call it instinct. He gives in too much into his emotions. I know he's your ex-brother, but I don't really like the idea of a changing freak with us."

Lucifer listened, and decided that Cain had a point. Silver was acting strange, and his personalities had changed completely. Somehow he didn't think Silver was, well, Silver anymore. He was someone different. Completely different.

I know how you feel, Lucifer the Lucario. He is not your brother anymore. And he is not trustworthy either. Let's have a deal. If you can remove him and the other pests from the castle, I will promise that I will remove your insomnia curse.

Lucifer looked at the ground and thought for a while. It was a tempting offer.

How can I trust you?

Then Lucifer shivered as he could hear a cold laugh, echoing in the corridors, making his black fur rise like needles.

It's worth a try.

Lucifer had nothing to lose. With a smirk on his face he placed his paws together, then spreaded them outwards until a yellow bone was formed in his paws. With one swift dash, he swept his brother with the bone, breaking the cage with it in one blow, letting the Gengar go.

Once free, the Gengar cackled as he released a volley of shadow balls towards everybody except Lucifer. Apparently they were on the same side now. His red eyes glowing like rubies, Lucifer leaped into the air and flung the bone towards his ex-brother like a boomerang with no mercy.

"Cain, don't stop me." Lucifer glanced at Cain, then tilted his head as he landed on the floor again after the throw. He was receiving the message now. Probably the same, but with some changes. Maybe he could agree too...but Lucifer was sure that not everybody was going to help Darkrai...or whoever he was.

-----Silver took a swift blow in the chest from, shockingly, his ex-brother, Lucifer. He turned and glared at the Lucario. His eyes were darker shades of blue and purple. He cloned himself, the other Gallade bonded with Gengar was only 5% power. Silver created bone-blades, but did not stab at Lucifer; Instead, he thrust the blade clear through... Himself. He stabbed the 5% clone, which was bonded to Gengar.
-----The clone dropped dead. Silver turned and faced Lucifer, deep anger and pain in his eyes. "The very nerve..." He shook his head and changed to Weavile. He instantly flew at Lucifer, far faster than he ever could as Lucario. He lunged, claws slashing and stabbing at Lucifer. He would not kill him, but he wanted him to hurt. If Lucifer wanted to hurt him emotionally, then Silver would return it physically.
