Eternal Nightmare - [PG-16]

Lucifer smirked when he saw Silver frown. Apparently he figured it out. Silver surrounded them with a soundproof bubble (talk-box ftw), but Lucifer didn't run away. He was awfully calm and watched as Silver talked to him seriously.

"Imagine how you felt being bullied and harrassed by him. That is what you're doing to others brother!!" Silver stated out, and he was serious.

At first Lucifer thought he had a point, but he shook his head and looked at him coldly, "But Blaziken had so much fun in those four years...he was having the time of his life. And I'm having fun. Case closed, brother."

Lucifer blinked once, and the Aura bubble disappeared into thin air. Four years of torture and loneliness, he pushed them aside. Now he was having fun and that's all it mattered...

Lucifer looked at Xandra and knew he must control himself within, but he wasn't going to be extra-nice either
 
(OOC: that's a lot of reading, but I like reading so, no big deal I guess)

Kaira sat on the ground, watching everyone around her. What had she got herself into? She crossed her arms and just started walking around the group, looking at everyone individually. She knew she ought to know who she'd be traveling with. She had gotten their names, which was quite helpful in her case, but she figured she should talk to them all a little, just to know who she was safe around, and who she should just plain stay away from.

She walked around to everyone once, a little on the nervous side. She didn't speak to any of them actually, she was a little afraid to now. Despite her sarcastic nature, she had a very shy personality, which was a bit contradicting. So she thought there was a probability that she'd manage to entice an argument with one of the others, not something she wanted on her consciences.

Oddly enough, despite what her current thought process was, she found herself standing in front of Lucifer. Not exactly the smartest idea at the moment, then again, she wasn't known for being smart, witty, but not smart. Giving a sigh, she poked his leg, probably about five different times before she figured she should stop before making him mad. She wasn't sure how to get his attention, without making him angry, so poking him was really her only solution.

"Hey, big guy. . uh. . .Lucifer!" she said, poking him again.

She crossed her arms and huffed. How was she suppose to get his attention? It took her a minute, but she found a way he couldn't ignore her, and he'd be able to hear her. She pushed herself off the ground, hopping a few times. She did this earlier, and it worked then, why not now. After a couple of hops, she managed to land on his shoulder, though a little bit dizzy.

"Um. . Lucifer? Right?" she said first, getting her vision back in line. "Hey I um. . .well. . first I wanted to apologize again, for the. . . not so nice comments. Secondly, I wanted to mention that my neck hurts, thank you very much." she glared a little. "And thirdly," she sighed. "I'd like to. . . try to get along. I make no promises, as I'm sure you've seen saracasm is just who I am. But I'll try to be less sarcastic, if you try. . you know. . . not to murder me."

Silver grabbed Lucifer's paw before he could leave, and kept the aura box up.

"Brother!!!"

He urged him, his serious voice tinged by sadness.

"You are no better than that Blaziken brother!! You need to realize what you're making others feel!! What you felt for four years!!!"

Tired of his brother's ignorance, he did something, which he had only done once before. He slapped Lucifer across the face, hard enough that he knew it'd lead a mark. He didn't care though, Lucifer deserved the humiliation. Silver closed his eyes, a tear falling as he left Lucifer and walked back to Julie.

And you'll end up... Dead, like Blaziken...

Sadness mad his whole body feel like it was made of ice. He sat down by Julie, his head rested under hers, resisting the urge to cry.

Four years were too much for Lucifer, and his kindness was buried deep inside his heart, unable to come out. Right now he didn't care if people were hurt or sad, right he just wanted to be happ-

Suddenly Silver slapped him across the face, leaving a red mark on his cheek, which, shocked Lucifer. Lucifer touched his cheek with his right paw and looked at Silver, startled. Then something happened, Silver started crying.

Silver turned towards Julie and rested his head under hers, but Lucifer could feel his emotions since they had a special bonding between them.

Silver would never understand Lucifer, and the black Lucario sighed, shaking his head. He couldn't do anything to stop his brother from crying...

Just then he felt someone or something poking him. He turned to the Cyndaquil and listened.

"I apologize for the marks," Lucifer told her and nodded, "Let's forget that had ever happened. But mind you, I'm having a little quarrel with my brother so best if you don't interfere right now."

Lucifer walked towards Silver from behind and patted him, "Brother..."
 
Silver held Julie close and kept his head nuzzled below hers, sad. He felt Lucifer patting his shoulder.

"Brother..." Lucifer started.

Silver pushed Lucifer's paw away and gave him the cold shoulder once more. He had nothing else to say to his brother, and he did not want to talk to him anymore. He was ignoring his brother. No. He was ignoring Lucifer. This Lucario was cruel, evil, and not his brother. The fact the he was still there was making Silver's fur rise uneasily.

Pokemon Species - Zorua
Pokemon Name - Shade
Pokemon Gender - Female
Pokemon Appearance - A normally colored Zorua with the exception of her deep blood red eyes.
Pokemon Personality - Shade is a very withdrawen and quiet Pokemon. She's not very trusting of other Pokemon due to abuse given to her by her parents before they abandonded her the day before the Darkrai statue was cracked. She's timid but wants to help figure out what happened to cause the curse's to happen. Her nightmares happen everytime she closes her eyes and the only thing they do is make her more afraid and shy around others. The one thing she's afraid to tell anyone is that she was abused and if asked she will deny it.
Curse(Insomnias/Nightmares) - Nightmare
Pokemon Moves -Night Daze, Fury Swipes, Shadow Ball, Shadow Claw
Others (Something not mentioned above) - If threatened or scared she'll go into a state of panic that's hard for her to get out of.

Lucifer patted Silver from behind, but his brother quickly pushed Lucifer's paw away, giving him a cold shoulder. Lucifer growled softly as he wanted to talk to him, but since he didn't want to Lucifer turned away.

"We better get going, the castle's four days away from here, and even if we run or fly there it'll take three." Lucifer informed the others, and walked towards the gates of Paranoia city, "Let's go, staying here won't do us any good."

The castle was on a mountain, and they had to walk UP in order to reach their destination. They had to go through the Paranoia Jungle first, however. Lucifer stopped at the gate, turned back to see if they were following, and walked into the jungle.

Xandra let's go. Lucifer sent her a quick thought and entered the darkness.

Then he turned around and looked at the others, sending another thought, are you people coming or not? Or are you just afraid?

"A group of Pokemon is approaching, master." a Gengar knelt before his master in Darkrai's Castle, as his master sat on a large throne, looking at him.

"Do not eliminate them," the master's loud but cold voice boomed and echoed around the dark, sinister throne room, "If they have potential, and a dark heart inside them, I will invite them to join me."

"Forgive me for my stupidity...but how?"

"We'll have a deal...a deal they can't resist."

Julie could feel how sad Silver felt.She watched him as he gave Lucifer the cold shoulder.She looked at Silver than stood up.If Lucifer made Silver like this then she was going to give Lucifer the cold shoulder too.She hated it when Silver was sad.She felt rage boiling inside her as if her insides were on fire.She settled herself down where she wouldn't end up shocking anybody.She sighed and grabbed Silver's paw and walked forward a few steps.

"We have to Silver,everyone here needs help,and the sooner the better.I know you want to,and I know you don't want to be with Lucifer right now,but please just ignore the fact he's coming with us."Julie said.

She half smiled at Silver to try to encourage him to fallow.She wanted him cheered up and she would cheer him up if it killed her.
 
Cain took charge and followed the lead to Paranoia Jungle. He completely ignored the entire conflict with Donas and the others, and didn't bother fighting with him because he felt Silver did enough, and plus, he really wasn't worth either the effort or the time. However, should he say anything of the like again, he would kill him without missing a heartbeat.

Cain went up ahead with Lucifer into the jungle. He'd rather move forward with him than linger behind with the stupid ones. Cain trotted next to Lucifer, giving him an acknowledging nod. He had nothing to speak to him about, thought, so he charged off ahead into the jungle, having his eyes, and nose, guide him. He looked back to see if the others were following. Cain snarled.
 
Silver sighed. If he was unhappy, it would make Julie unhappy, which he did not want. He sighed again and walked with her as she held his paw and forced him to walk with her. Well, not forced. If she walks away, Silver always wants to follow. He hugged her and kept his arms around her as they walked. His mind wandered. Ever since all of these memories returned, it has made him think. Mostly about Mew. She was always so nice to him, so caring. She was nice to both brothers, but she always treated Silver a bit nicer... Whenever he got hurt playing, Mew would tend to his wounds... When he was sad, she talked to him about it until he felt better... She was... Nice... Caring... Loving... Almost like a mothe--

Silver's eyes widened with sudden shock and realization.

Mother and father always treated Lucifer better... Unless mother and father... To me... Aren't really... Mother and father...

Silver figured it out. After such a long. His mother was Mew. Then who was his father?

Silver was entranced, lost in his mind.
 
Kaira saw that the group had begun moving and started following. Apparently, then were going into some kind of jungle. She had to run a little, to catch up with them. She looked at Silver for a minute, and thought about saying something, but she changed her mind. If something was wrong, she was sure he would be alright, he had Julie with him.

So, she just kept running along. She had to slow down to a walk after a moment, due to the fact she nearly ran into Lucifer again, and she saw how well that turned out last time. So she walked along, keeping her head down mostly, only glancing up to make sure she didn't bump into Lucifer, or the Pokemon beside Lucifer.

She had never been in a group before. Well, she had, but they hadn't appreciated her company very much. She wasn't sure if any of these Pokemon would, but she'd try to be on her best behavior, biting her tongue. It went against her personality, but as the saying goes, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. That's what she would try to do. Unless she had something nice to say to the others, she'd keep her big mouth shut. That would keep her out of trouble in the long run.

(OOC: Gotta go to school now, just wanted to get something in before then!! :) )
 
Volk hurried off to join the group into the jungle of Paranoia. When he turned back, he saw that the Cranidos was no longer in sight, perhaps it ran off or disappeared? But it was the least of his concern now, they all had to get to the castle quickly within the time frame they had to their advantage.

The huge jungle was enormous inside and there was practically a gargantuan forest maze sprawled over the interiors. The lush dark green trees cloaked what was the canopy, preventing any form or seams of light from dripping through. The branches were very crooked and awkwardly-grown, shaped like claws of black eeriness that grab or clasp onto you unexpectedly. That though sent a chilling shiver down his spine, releasing a tiny bout of static from his hind legs. Tendrils were a pale shade of olive mixed with ebony and vines hung lowly that others had to push them aside or to the limbo. Thankfully, the Joltik wasn't that tall or big-sized unlike the others, those that were considered more 'tough' and excellent in combat. He crawled along with the others, not speaking a word, for he felt that unknown eyes hidden in the shroud of shadows along the beaten path were looking at them, spying with their gaze seeming to glare icily on his back. Once or twice, Volk spun to look at whoever was watching them closely, following their every movement, but all he met was a complete silence of the nightly forest and the rhythmic shuffling of feet moving through the frenzy undergrowth.

He moved and roamed over lying logs and long winding roots of thick ancient trees. Their networks of roots were everywhere, linked to a dozen different other pools of water and puddles and crossed with other trees' roots. It felt like the whole Paranoia jungle was like a living organism, connected through links of nature.

Volk shuffled through the other Pokemon, sliding underneath Silver's walking legs and ducking the swishing movement of Julie's beacon-like tail. He finally reached and paced himself along with the Cyndaquil. Trying to start a conversation and breaking the cold silence, he asked, "How do you think it's going to happen once at the castle? Do you think Darkrai will help us or is there something more to it than it seems?"
 
After a few days, Sparky decided to search after the castle. He knew if he'd want to find his parents back, he'd have to visit it. Maybe the shadow would tell him where they are. So he left, searching the castle.

He walked through the hole town, while trying to hide himself from others. His deeds with innocent Charmander made him a bit unpopular. After 2 hours of searching, he became tired, and decided to lay down in a bush. He quickly fell asleep because he was so tired.

Suddenly, he woke up. A nightmare struck him once again. Bit it wasn't a normal nightmare. This one was a bit unusual. It was about him, being eaten by a Dusknoir, and while in its belly, being transported to a weird place, where it got spitten out and put in prison. He looked around. All was black. Was it night already? He decided to use Flash and looked around. He got scared when he saw it. Very scared. He just couldn't believe what he saw. He was standing on it. And he couldn't escape. It was creepy. It was a tongue.
 
Julie fallowed Cain who seemed to have took charge.She turned her head slightly to look at Silver who seemed to be lost in thought.She continued walking.She thought about Silver and Lucifer's parents.She'd never met them.Her own parents had left 5 years ago,with Julie's approval.They wanted to go see the world,and Julie wanted to stay behind.She wondered if they were okay.She hadn't got any cards from them in a year.She continued walking,but absentmindedly looked at her feet.She wasn't aware at all she was looking at her feet,or even walking.It was like she was in her own little world.She could have been sleep walking.Her mind drifted to Silver claiming to have known Mew.She was still walking forward.She wondered if there was a way to get Mew to come.....her mind continued to drift around as she tried to think of a way to get Mew to come.
 
Silver snapped from his thoughts. He hugged Julie tighter as he sensed her thoughts. He also wondered how they could get Mew. He sighed. Then he thought of something. His eyes were glowing, purple, but there was a second color that glowed as he did. Light blue. The colors actually mixed very well. He closed his eyes.

He sent his thoughts, hoping they would reach Mew, wherever she may be. When he finished, he opened his purple eyes and nuzzled into Julie, while watching the others walk with them. He knelt down and placed Kaira back on his left shoulder, while Julie walked at his right.
 
Lucifer turned around to see if the others were following, and when he turned he could hear Silver's thoughts

Mother and father always treated Lucifer better... Unless mother and father... To me... Aren't really... Mother and father...

Silver figured it out. After such a long. His mother was Mew. Then who was his father?

Silver's mother was a Mew? Which meant...that they weren't really brothers? After all these years, Lucifer thought they had some special bonding, but it was all fake? So they weren't brothers? They weren't related? Lucifer was furious, after all these years of brotherly love...!

Lucifer growled, thinking about it and whacked the tree next to him. The attack was so powerful the tree collasped instantly. But he wasn't going to tell Silver about this, oh, not yet...since he wasn't his real brother Lucifer had no intentions to love him anymore...

Darkrai's Castle looked bigger as they were nearer, but they still had to walk for two-three days. Suddenly he heard Volk talking.

"What do you think it's going to happen once at the castle? Do you think Darkrai will help us or is there something more to it than it seems?"

"Think about it, if Darkrai's friendly he wouldn't steal all our energy and ignore us like this," Lucifer answered.
 
Cain shook his head as the one called Volk asked what Cain believed to be the most stupid question he had heard all day. Lucifer replied, to which Cain agreed.

"I guess I was wrong, but I'm going there to fight this Darkrai and put a stop to this nonsense, not console him and ask him to be nice." Cain growled behind his teeth. He had been on edge since they left.

Cain pounced forward. The humidity of the jungle caused him to feel a bit warm. He preferred the warmer air to the coolness of Paranoia City, so it was welcoming. Cain could see the castle way of in the distance. He had not expected it to be that far away. He had been too worried with the fighting that he didn't pack for enough of the journey there and back. He thought about this, then agreed in his mind to take some food from the others once he ran out. In any case, he had enough at least for the journey there.
 
"Think about it, if Darkrai's friendly he wouldn't steal all our energy and ignore us like this," Lucifer answered.

"Maybe someone's forcing him to do these things or controlling him?" He replied back thoughtfully.

"I guess I was wrong, but I'm going there to fight this Darkrai and put a stop to this nonsense, not console him and ask him to be nice." Cain growled behind his teeth.

"Well, violence doesn't resort to anything. It might make him feel that we deserve it more. You all might be good at battles, but how about we smaller ones? Do you think people like me or Kaira can stand a chance at Darkrai? Who knows what's going on in there, he might have minions!" Volk retorted at the Houndoom's belief.

He notice the Houndoom rolled his eyes as if the Joltik was a baby. Not like you know everything... Volk snorted as he veered off the path they were traveling and disappeared under the bracken. He decided a little moment of time from this few pricks would do him good and maybe think through what exactly is going on. He knew the underground pathways of tree roots and burrows. Only Pokemon with the same size as him or slightly larger would be able to move about the jungle to the other side. He just had to locate the correct tunnel and travel to the next until it all linked as a pathway to the castle of Darkrai. He used his insect sense to taste the air and chose the burrow set that felt more foreboding and darkly. His legs worked fast and in less than 5 minutes, he halted at the first fork of the underground passages.

The little community of Pokemon who used to live and build this metropolis of tunnels and tubes were smart and positioned certain signs and insignias to tell the address. Right now, Volk was staring at a carving against the earthly wall. It was not the one he was looking for as it pictured a Sewaddle holding a leaf like a flag. "The Sewaddle Society...." The Joltik huffed quietly. The next one depicted a gathering hall of Drilburs and Exadrills. Volk immediately thought of DrilledCourt, ruled by Lord Caverian, a mighty well-known respectable Excadrill. He passed by flights of stairs, dirt tunnels and tubes leading to other various landmarks such as the Jungle Frontier(a trading town on the outskirts of the Paranoia jungle), Croaking Lagoon(a pond community of frog Pokemon) etc.

The yellow spider continued to roam about the underground, stopping a few times to check the signs and directions. What he was looking for was....nope not this...and not this one either......Oh! Volk stood in front of a worn and cracked signpost. It had a streak of black painted on the left with a harsh red arrow blazing to the right. And at the corner of the sign, pictured a turret tower of a castle. "Darkrai's Castle. Beware." The sign read.

Volk shivered and his legs wobbled as he journeyed down the tunnel path.

Sparky was scared. He couldn't see anything. Everything was black or grey. And something slimy was pink. He decided to sleep as he couldn't do anything. He was tired already and maybe he could leave this weird place with a tongue later.

Sparky woke up by a weird sound. It looked like it came from a distant place. It sounded like water crashing against walls. And suddenly, water appeared on the tongue. And more water. The water came so high Sparky had to start swimming. "This isn't right..." he thought. "Am I going to die by drowning in a weird room with a tongue on the floor?"
Suddenly, a weird force grabbed him and threw him against a wall. A few seconds later, the force grabbed him again, and threw him to another wall. Sparky saw the wall coming near. His head was first. If his skull wasn't hard enough, he'd die by this enormous, weird power. He closed his eyes. And he kept going in the air. Until he suddenly landed, which he noticed by feeling the floor with his feet and lots of water falling on him. He opened his eyes and looked around. It was a grey room. There were a few torches on the wall. He decided to explore this weird place and find out where he was and why he got in the weird room. Suddenly, he got grabbed by two enormous hands. He looked up and saw a Dusknoir grabbed him. It had its mouth wide open and Sparky could see the tongue he was standing on before. Dusknoirs eyes started to spin and soon Sparkys started spinning too. He fell asleep by the Hypnosis Dusknoir caused.

Julie jumped back about a foot when Lucifer whacked a tree.Something told her not to say a word if she wanted to keep her life.She re-gripped her arms around Silver and hugged him tightly as she walked.She looked a Silver worridly,but didn't say a word.She finally turned her head infront of her again.

"Something's not right here...."Julie thought.

She kept walking,but she was so dead silent she probably could have been a dead person being dragged forward.She tightened her grip on Silver a little bit more and continued walking.
