Eternal Nightmare - [PG-16]

(i have permission to bunny Xandra for now)

"Xandra, you go ahead." Lucifer told her, "I'll catch up."

Xandra didn't know why he wanted to be alone, and she was surprised when he whacked the tree. But she didn't want to pry and nodded, walking with the others. She looked around, where did Volk go?

Lucifer watched as Xandra followed the others and smiled. Lucifer sat down on the ground and sighed, shaking his head. Now his brother hated him. This wasn't goo-

Suddenly he was blasted from behind and Lucifer tumbled into a pool of mud. Lucifer growled and got up, but his eyes widened when he saw someone. No.

"Miss me?" Blaziken emerged from the shadows, a large scar on his chest, "One shard like that can't kill someone like me. But it can kill someone like YOU."

Lucifer panicked. But wait. He was stronger now. He's a Lucario. And he had gone evil...surely he was strong enough to fight Blaziken now.

"You've picked the wrong day to fight me, Blaziken." Lucifer roared and charged towards his enemy, then punched him onto the ground with close combat. The Blaziken looked at Lucifer with furious eyes when he was pinned on the ground, and he did a roundhouse kick, kicking Lucifer away from him as he got up.

But Lucifer wasn't going to give up, he was going to stand up for himself- until ten Arcanines surrounded him. Blaziken's gang.

"Sick 'em, boys."

The Arcanines charged and pounced on Lucifer at the same time, biting and burning the Lucario with their fangs as Lucifer cried in pain. H-Help...

Xandra could feel that something was wrong and nudged Silver, then Saphyre and the others, "Something's wrong with Lucifer."

Cain looked intently at the one called Xandra. He snarled a bit and walked a few steps forward. He noticed the others temporarily stopped walking as well.

"Well, what do you expect me to do about it? You expect me to go help the Pokemon whom I fought with earlier. If he is unfit to survive the jungle, then he is unfit to be apart of this group, as far as I'm concerned. Let the strong survive, and let the weak slow our enemies down."

Cain walked angrily forward, ignoring Lucifer's cry for help.

I don't help weak Pokemon, and only weak Pokemon need help.

Kaira opened her eyes, which had up until that point, been shut. She jumped down off of Silver's shoulder. She heard the other Pokemon talk, and she growled.

"Look, I don't get along with that Lucario either! But I'm not gonna stand by and let another Pokemon get hurt. If I did that, that would make it just as much my fault as the one who attacked them! So quit being selfish! Even if you don't like him, or don't agree with him, at least have a little bit of a stinking heart! How would you feel if you were the one who needed help, but no one would help you because we didn't like you? You know, I don't like you. I'll tell you that right now. But if you needed help, I'd help. Now if you'll excuse me, somebody needs help!" Kaira huffed.

Kaira turned back in the direction they been traveling in. She managed to find Lucifer, and around him, were a group of Archanines. She ran up to them.

"Hey! You big rats with fur!" Kaira called, and started puffing out smoke screen. They were fire types, so her fire moves weren't going to do much. This was probably her best offense, a defense.

(OOC: I am so so so so beyond sorry that I haven't posted until now!)

Cain snarled as the small Pokemon traveling with them yelled at him.

"Trust me, little Pokemon, I'd never need help. Especially from you. But if I did, I'd die first then get help. That's the way things are supposed to go. Weak Pokemon die, and the strong survive. That's the way things goes!"

Cain snorted as the Cyndaquil left. He gritted his teeth and continued walking, hoping the others weren't as stupid as to go back there as well.

Volk was trembling from the point of the signpost, until now in the tunnel towards Darkrai's Castle. Then, all of a sudden, his feet touched a cold sloshy liquid, probably mud, and he slipped and slide all the through the underground tunnel. The exit appeared, first as a mouth of light then it grew and grew until the air of the Paranoia Jungle puffed in his face. The humidity was obvious in comparison to the dirt dwellings. He looked around and found that he was no way near the castle. In fact, the mouth of the cave tunnel was just along the pathway that he and the others were about to tread on.

Suddenly, the Joltik heard a roar from down the trail and he saw Lucifer pitching against a Blaziken with ten Arcanines in a battle.

"Hey! You big rats with fur!" Kaira called out. The Cyndaquil started to help Lucifer in battle by putting up a strategic smokescreen. The Blaziken, leader of the unruly gang, ordered the Arcanines to attack Lucifer and they engulfed the black Lucario in bites, growls and flames. It was obvious that Lucifer was losing it, Fire types were his combat weakness. Volk had to do something! "What can I do? What should I do??"

Without thinking, the yellow spider rushed up to an Arcanine who had it's burning fangs on Lucifer's back and Volk hurled a ball of electricity at it. Startled, the Arcanine spun around and breathed a stream of fire at him but Volk parried with a fluid-like spiderweb of energy. The Electroweb coiled around the Flamethrower and extinguished it. It then snarled as it lunged forward, teeth bared. The Joltik hopped to the side and as he teetered passed the Pokemon, Volk launched a ray of harsh red and purple light at the Arcanine's flank. It yowled in agony and attacked with a mighty clamp of it's fangs on Volk's hind legs. Holding him by his hind legs, it swung him around and tossed it to the ground.

"You obnoxious orange prick!" Volk shouted as his abdomen let out another static charge and shaping it into a silky electrical spiderweb, Volk sped in circles round the Arcanine and threw numerous Electrowebs on it. The lightning sparked off from the webs and it was numbed with paralysis. Volk then emitted a beam of glowing green and angry maroon and send it flying to the hell of it's leader. "There you go. A little goes a long way." Volk smirked just as another Arcanine blasted a whilrlwind of fire at him in vengeance of its comrade.

"AAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" A bloodcurdling scream shot out from the yellow bug's mouth as Volk laid sprawled on the ground, badly scarred. His spidery legs shivered frantically in the air, as he tried to stand up and tolerate the burn. I'm gonna die!

Lucifer struggled as the Arcanine surrounded him, biting him again and again, leaving burn marks on his body. Lucifer could fight a few at a time, but not eleven.

"Hey! You big rats with fur!" Kaira called, and started puffing out smoke screen. At that moment Lucifer was badly wounded, with blood dripping out of his wounds, but when Kaira distracted the Arcanine, Lucifer tripped them with his legs and his paws, then watched as they fell onto the floor before going towards her again. Lucifer screamed when suddenly another Arcanine bit him with a fire fang, but before he could burn Lucifer severely, he was blasted away.

"You obnoxious orange prick!" Then Lucifer watched as the little spider pokemon fought with the Arcanine. He fought with him before, but he was still helping him. Then Volk shot a ball of energy towards Blaziken. Uh oh. Big mistake.

If the Arcanine could do something this painful to Lucifer, the Cyndaquil wouldn't stand a chance. Lucifer leaped and stood before Kaira, protecting her by blocking their way. Before Lucifer could to something to distract Blaziken, he heard a loud screech, then saw Volk on the ground, burnt severely.

"I'll be right back, Kaira." Lucifer looked at her then ran towards the spider pokemon and shook him, "C'mon, Volk. We need you in the team. If you see a light, don't go towards it I'll take care of the Arcanine."

Lucifer scanned his enemies. Six of them were down, four more to go, and those four were either confused or distracted. Growling, Lucifer brought his hands together and made a bone of aura. When an Arcanine lunged from behind, Lucifer turned and hit him with the bone, sending him flying until he slammed against a tree trunk.

Two Arcanine stayed together and fired a beam of fire with their mouths, but Lucifer spun his bone quickly in front of him and created strong winds, blowing the fire back to his enemies. The last one came from the left and bit Lucifer's leg stealthily. The fangs dug deep into Lucifer's bones, making him cry in pain, but he yanked him away with his feet and blasted him away with a quick, but weak Aura sphere.

Lucifer panted. Wounds were all over his body, and the one on his leg was pretty bad, he couldn't walk properly for now. He knelt down and panted for breath, but when he thought that everything's fine, he could see someone walking towards him.

"I don't know you have friends." Blaziken snarled, looking at Lucifer, still kneeling on the ground weakly, "But soon you won't have any after you die."

Blaziken's right fist glowed, and was surrounded by a large blue flame. He raised his hand, about to punch Lucifer and end his life...

Saphyre had started to silently walk with the group. She shivered a little as she looked at the castle. Why? Why am I so scared? Saphyre asked herself. However, she pushed those thoughts away with a shake of her head. Instead she looked at the group they had come up with. We are an odd bunch of Pokemon. She thought. Saphyre literally jumped when Lucifer punched a tree. Why was he so upset? Still sour about his battle with Cain? Had little Kaira really gotten on his nerves? She stayed quiet. Saphyre didn't want Lucifer to take his anger out on her. And Saphyre hoped everybody else kept their mouths shut. There had been enough fighting among the group as it is. And they had just started their walk to Darkrai's castle.

Saphyre noticed Xandra walking up alone, which she found really strange. Due to the fact that since Xandra had made her appearence, Lucifer hadn't left her side. Saphyre smiled a little. Maybe there was truth to Silver saying they should push Xandra and Lucifer together. They would make a cute couple. Saphyre's thoughts were cut short as she heard a yell for help. It sounded a lot like Lucifer. When Saphyre was nudged she looked at Xandra.

Saphyre glared at Cain and then ran to find Lucifer. He sounded like he wasin trouble. When she got to where Lucifer was, Lucifer was holding the badly burnt Volk. And Blaziken was getting ready to deliver the killing blow. Saphyre couldn't let that happen. So she charged at the Blaziken. She rammed her hard skull helmet into him as hard as she could. This caused him to lose his footing and punch at Saphyre. His punch hit her in the stomach. Saphyre flew into a tree and Blaziken fell to the ground, still not fainted or dead. However, he was weak.

The least person he expected helped him. Lucifer shook Volk out of near death and unconsciousness.

"C'mon, Volk. We need you in the team. If you see a light, don't go towards it I'll take care of the Arcanine." Light...light.... Those words echoed in his mind. Light means fire. Fire....bad....hurts a lot....

As he stood up, Volk spotted Lucifer bashing up two Arcanines to a pulp with his bone. After that blasting them away with aura attacks, the Lucario looked exhausted and knelt on the ground. Then the Joltik watch as the Blaziken sauntered up to Lucifer.

"I don't know you have friends." Blaziken snarled, looking at Lucifer, still kneeling on the ground weakly, "But soon you won't have any after you die."

Blaziken's right fist glowed, and was surrounded by a large blue flame. He raised his hand, about to punch Lucifer and Volk shrieked, "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Just as he screamed, Saphyre rammed her helmet into Blaziken as she was punched in the stomach. Blaziken was knocked off his feet and fell to the ground. Saphyre was flung to the tree, but didn't seem knocked out.

The Joltik scurried right next to Lucifer and in a few seconds, he set up walls of Electrowebs and Volk got an Electro Ball fizzing and frothing in his mouth, waiting for its chance to be fired at the Blaziken. Volk panted and continued to glare angrily at anyone of the Arcanines, who whimpered in pain and licked their wounds.

(WE NEED CAIN AND SILVER to finish him off! He's stronger than you think!)

Just when Blaziken was about to attack, Lucifer closed his eyes, waiting for the finishing blow. Nothing. Am I dead yet? Confused, Lucifer opened his eyes and saw Blaziken punching Saphyre instead, sending her flying towards a tree with his full force.

'Saphyre...!" Lucifer cried as that attack looked awfully painful. At least Blaziken was blasted away too, so Lucifer had the chance to get up. Slowly and weakly, Lucifer stood up and looked at the Blaziken, his reddish-black aura glowing around him as he focused. He felt the Aura channeling inside of him, and a beatiful ball of red aura formed in his paws, hadoken style. Enraged, Lucifer threw the Aura Sphere towards the confused Blaziken.

There was a large boom and a strong current of wind nearly blew Lucifer off balance when the Aura Sphere exploded. When the smoke cleared and the dust was blown away Lucifer's eyes widened. No...NO!

Blaziken stood there, smiling, with no wounds at all. Before the Aura Sphere could hit him, Blaziken grabbed an Arcanine and treated him as a meat shield, blocking the attack. The Arcanine was danging in the air, lifeless as Blaziken held him. The leader of the gang snorted and flung the dead pokemon away.

"Lucifer what's going on?" Suddenly Xandra emerged from the shadows and approached Lucifer...behind Blaziken.

"Xandra no!" Lucifer cried but it was too late. Blaziken turned and smiled when he saw her. He dashed towards Xandra, and stopped behind her, an arm around her neck as he held her behind.

"One move and I will break her neck." Blaziken threatened as he held Xandra tightly. Xandra tried to struggle but she couldn't.

Cain shook his head as yet another one of them went back to help Lucifer. He growled, but mostly to himself. He debated now on what to do. He had gone with this group because he knew he probably won't be able to take on Darkrai on his own, but if they all were to die here, it would also be pointless. Cain sighed, and against his better judgement, pounced backwards and tried to look for Lucifer and the others. He found them in a clearing with a Blaziken. Cain hid in the shadows, wondering his next course of action. It was clear he had the other Pokemon in his clutches, so it was unwise to attack at that moment. Cain watched to see how things played out.

(NO FAIR!!! I have been busy all weekend!!! No opportunity to post until now! >.<)

Silver frowned and watched Lucifer punch a tree in fury, obviously reading him like a book. Lucifer realized what he just did. They weren't actually brothers.

I don't care... I'm helping him anyways!

Silver sent his thoughts directly to Lucifer.

"It's not blood that bounds brothers, Lucifer. It's love, care, it's the memories we shared. It was not all pointless. You're still my brother, no matter what!"

Silver had stealthily come up behind the Blaziken, and did something clever; three swift jabs into his back sent the Blaziken into unconsciousness. He caught Xandra and placed her down safely. He then faced the ten Arcanine that attacked Lucifer. His bone-blades in each hand; He charged into the pack to protect his brother.

Blaziken didn't see Silver behind him, and when he did, it was too late.

"What the" Blaziken cried but Silver jabbed him swiftly with his paws and sent the Blaziken into unconsciousness.

"It's not blood that bounds brothers, Lucifer. It's love, care, it's the memories we shared. It was not all pointless. You're still my brother, no matter what!"

Well that sounds comforting, brother. We don't even have the same blood in us.
Lucifer rolled his eyes, but he couldn't help but smile when Silver saved Xandra. Lucifer ran towards her to see if she was okay.

The Nine Arcanine (one's dead due to Blaziken) slowly regained their energy and strength. When they saw their leader unconscious, they growled in unison, walking towards Silver, but Lucifer wasn't going to let that happen. He walked and stood before Silver, his wounds still bleeding all over his body.

"You're leader's out cold, get lost when you have to chance." Lucifer's eyes narrowed as the Arcanine surrounded them. Apparently they weren't going to listen.

Silver sighed.

Hey, don't blame me. It took me this long to realize it... brother... Wait... If I really am a Mew...

Silver concentrated. When he opened his eyes, he was no longer Lucario, or even Mew. He was Arceus. Standing at a massive height, he growled down at the Arcanine. His voice boomed and echoed around everyone.

"You who do wrong, you shall pay for your sins..."

He growled as he began to glow, and unleashed the mostpowerful attack he could think of.

"Feel my Judgement!!!"

Blue blasts of pure power rained down, inevitably hitting only the nine Arcanine that remained, with tremendous force. He then reverted to his true form.

He was a shiny (light blue-furred) Mew, with light amethyst eyes. His muzzle scar remained. He flew down and hovered a few feet from the ground.

(Overpowered, Silver. Overpowered.)

Lucifer stepped back as he watched his brother transform into the legendary pokemon.

"Feel my Judgement!!!" he roared and Lucifer smirked as blue blasts of power rained from above, hitting the Arcanine.

Then when Silver was done, he changed into his real form, a Mew. A shiny Mew, to be exact. This proved it. Silver wasn't really his brother, and Lucifer was just a normal Lucario with a strange recolouring, nothing more. That made him rather disappointed, as his 'brother' could turn into anything.

"Then why were we together? Why did you have to pretend to be my brother? Why'd you have to stay Lucario while you can just play Mew?" questions spammed Lucifer's mind as he looked at the floating shiny. Was this some kind of a trick? Apparently not.

The Arcanine were on the ground, either dead, or unconscious. At least they weren't threatening anymore. The Blaziken's eyes were closed, and he lied there, lifelessly. Lucifer looked at the ground and felt for his aura. Blaziken wasn't dead, his heart was beating ever so weakly, but ending his life now was...wrong.

"Xandra...!" Lucifer turned and hugged his old playmate as she walked towards him, "Thank god you're alright..."

"Lucifer, the castle's not far away from here. We're almost there." Xandra smiled and pointed at the castle, only one mile away. At this range, the castle looked darker than ever, not to mention that the air was also colder here.

(Just like Ditto, Mew uses transform. Although on both powers are never as strong as the real thing. If he had used actual 'Judgement' then there would be no life in a five mile radius. Arceus is God, anyways.)

Silver frowned at Lucifer's thoughts.

"A trick? Is that really what you think of our childhood?"

His eyes were soft, sad. Near the point of crying. He hung his head and began to slowly float away.

"I didn't even know what I am until just now... And our brotherhood... Is nothing more than just a 'trick'...?"

He was crying now, as he began to float away, away from Lucifer.

"Kin or not, I loved you like a brother..."

With those parting words, he began to drift away. He had no destination, he just didn't want to be around someone who downgraded their childhood to something so meaningless...

the cute shiny mew started to leave Lucifer...Silver was crying now, as he began to float away, away from Lucifer.

"Kin or not, I loved you like a brother..."

He drifted away without saying anything else...Lucifer wanted to follow and stop him from going away, but he didn't...

"B-Brother..." Lucifer looked at the ground, guilty of what he had done. Somehow, their emotions were still chained together...Silver's emotions affected Lucifer, and Lucifer started to sob quietly.

Still sobbing silently, he helped Saphyre, Kaira, Xandra to get on their feet. He grabbed Volk and shook him, "Wake up, Volk. You're not dying...Darkrai will find a cure for you...like it or not."

Without Silver, this was going to be one difficult journey. With a final look at the others, he headed towards the Castle doors...

(I'll post about entering it after the others follow. But don't enter it before I do).

Sapphyre groaned, she had hit the tree hard. Though, not enough to knock her out. She watched Silver come to his brother's rescue. Her eyes widen as he transformed and then turned back into a Mew. So Silver has been a Mew this whole time? Sapphyre asked herself. Lucifer doesn't seem to be happy about it. Sapphyre looked around. The arcanines weren`t trying to attack and the Blazekin looked dead. Sapphyre hoped not. Even if he was evil, nobody deserved to die. She pushed the thoughts away and looked up at Lucifer as he helped her up.

"Thank you." Sapphyre said giving him a small smile. Then she started following him, after he helped the others up. Sapphyre looked up at Silver, he was a ways away.

Silver floated away silently, facing away from the others as he left. he landed on the high branch of a tall tree, crying to himself.

Why did he let me go...? Why would he throw away something like that, our childhood, friendship, brotherhood...

He felt the tears overwhelm him. They seemed to glow faintly blue as they fell. They streemed down his face, and he sniffled. He was far too distracted to sense that Sapphyre followed, or anyone. He just cried to himself in silence, his depression coming off of him in waves. He held the end of his tail close, as if it were the only thing he had left. The tears still dripped.

Sapphyre had to make sure Silver was ok. She walked up to the tree he sat in. Seeing his tears, broke Sapphyre's heart. She watched the tears stream down the tree's trunk as she thought of what she could say.

Sapphyre finally found the courage to speak. "Silver?" She said, loud enough for him to hear her. "It'll be ok...I'm sure Lucifer didn't mean what he said. He's probally just confused right now. He'll come around. Please come down, please."

"Silver?" asked Sapphyre.

Silver looked up, his muzzle dripping with tears.

"It'll be ok...I'm sure Lucifer didn't mean what he said. He's probally just confused right now. He'll come around. Please come down, please."

"No, it'll never be okay... I'm staying here until I die..."

So much pain, depression, was emphasized in the word 'die'. He wanted to seperate himself from everyone and everything. His pain was something he would keep for himself, he would not let others feel it for him.
