Hey. First of all, I am not a newb when it comes to EV's. I wrote up a tutorial about them here. So I maxed out my Bagon's Speed and Attack, didn't use a single mineral, it had pokerus. I used an HP UP to pump it up that last 6 EV's and checked with a Carbos that its speed was maxed and a protein that its defense was maxed (It wouldn't take them.) When I went to the lady, she says I still need more EV's. What gives?

But I didn't use the drugs on it to begin with. Couldn't afford enough. :\

it doesn't matter... if a certain pokemon has 100 ev points or more... it wont accept any vitamin, even if u havent used n e 2 begin with

It doesn't work like that. If a pokemon has 255 EV's it won't accept vitamins or EV's in the stat. 100 EV's from vitamins is the maximum you can give.

lol... i don't know wat ur askin then... so w/e... sum1 else answer

Please, someone answer my question. It's getting on my nerves.

The only explanation I have is... your math is screwed up (no offense).

I agree. I'm no noob when it comes to EVs either, and I generally great when it comes to the math... but once I was EV training a Beldum: I was sure I got everything right (Macho Brace and Pokerus), but the lady said "You have to go for it harder". I still don't know where I went wrong.

I'd reset or give it a crap load of the happiness berries, and start over.

Protein does attack and iron does defence. Was that a typo or was that the mistake you made?

Yeah, what the guy above me said. Also, as many people are saying u probably just got yer math wrong. I get a notebook and fight and I write down every last EV point I get. U're not a noob at it but writing a tutorial about it ain't for you. :P No offense though.

i always tend to get insecure towards the end, but it always is perfect.. first time in my life i like math, it's just 'right' you know.. a fact, reality

anyway, cema, on your tutorial: those aren't the very best EV-spots.. i made a thread on it (already like 2 weeks a go) and there are the top spots in

Ok, I have a question about the D/P games. Is there an item like the Macho Brace, in Emerald, that pumps up EV earnings...in D/P I mean, LOL! Hope someone can help me! :)

Not quite. You can only give a Pokemon vitamins for a certain stat until it has at least 100 EVs in that stat.

So you probably did count wrong.

Yes there is. I don't know where to get it at, though.

Oh actually I found someone who knew. I posted a thread over it and she said that the guy looking for "burmy"...if you show him the 3 different types of Burmy he'll give it to you. You know how to catch a Burmy? Well, just in case, it's a rare pokemon that can be found in Honey slathered trees. Give it a try!
