Hey everyone, I want to start EV training my pokemon but I'm a bit confused on what nature to look for my pokemon.

Lets say I want to EV train a flareon. Since his primary stat is attack, would I EV train his attack to max it out? Would a nature that boosts his attack even more be best?

    Thanks in advance.

If you wanted to EV train a flareon, you should see what you want to make it. A physical Sweeper? or maybe a mixed 1? Or a support? If you are making it a physical sweeper, then yes i would recommend giving it 252 EVs to the Atk. A mixed 1, Maybe 192 Atk / 184 SpA / 124 Spe so it has a nice even spread. Im not sure of flareons move pool but i dont think it has too many great physical moves, so i would probably make it a mixed sweeper. And yes, a nature that boosts atk (if you're making it a physical 1) is good. Hope it helps mate!

Yeah, you should train a Pokemon in the stats it's best at. That includes natures. It makes sense to make the most out of your Pokemon's strengths, right?
Anyway, Flareon's quite tricky; it has high Attack, but doesn't learn many good physical moves (not even Flare Blitz; come on, it's got 'flare' in it's name!). So giving it Special Attack is an option worth considering; the higher power of its special moves could make up for its lower Special Attack stat.
There are a lot of things to consider when EVing a Pokemon :P

Yea that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for all of your help you two =D

Got another question sorry. Do you happen to know where I can see all the pokemon in sinnoh and see what ev they give when defeating them? thanks
