4th Gen EV Training??

    Ok I got me a lv1 squirtle and wanted to ev train it, (which I've never done with any poke at all), in attack and speed, Ok I thought that you gave it the items do do that at the level you got it, ok found out that was wrong, so I leveled it up to a wartortle and tried again and it still wouldn't take the items, now it's a blastoise level 50 something and still it want take the items, WHY??
     
    That just makes no sense to me cause I had a blastoise thar took those items with no problem, bur it was not the nature I wanted.
     
    Vitamins will increase the EVs of their corresponding stat by 10. You can only use a maximum of ten vitamins for a single stat, and then your pokemon will refuse to take them. Also, if your pokemon is maxed out on EVs or maxed out on that particular stat, it will refuse to take the vitamins.
     
    Can Iask question? How do you do EV train? :)....
     
    You can only give a pokemon vitamins if it has less than 100 EVs in that stat, and once it hits 100 it will stop taking items. So by the time you've reached level 50 with blastoise you've probably already accumilated 100 Attack EVs, hence why it wont take protein.
     
    Yes I know that part about the 100, but it wouldn't even take them as the newly hatched squirtle.

    No I didn't already give it any, like I said it wouldn't take them, so I thought that it had to be leveled up some, so I leveled to wartortle and still it would.
     
    So, it was a newly hatched Squirtle at level 1 that you're absolutely sure had no EVs? And he wouldn't accept a single vitamin?

    Either you made a mistake (such as the Squirtle already having EVs, or you feeding it the wrong item), or that's a hacked Squirtle.

    No, I made no mistakes, I can clone that exact same squirtle and give it to you to prove it.
    Ok how will I know if it's a hack??

    It's a lv1
    and was hatched on some rt. I can't remember and it's stats are:

    I don't have it in front of me but did remember that much about it.
     
    Well...
    If its level one, and its stats are like that, then i'm not sure why it won't do that.
    Because i'm sure the vitamins would give even a level 1 at least some stat boost
     
    Well I thought so too, even the other squirtle I had that wasn't a good nature for me took them and it was hatched lv5.
