Event Help

Hello, i'm new here.

Basically, im trying to create a Text Event in the middle of the screen on a blackscreen (Black tiled map) & want it to fade out after the text has been skipped through.

Everytime i use a event command, it doesn't get recognized.

How would i go on about this?

"/wm"
