5th Gen Events Discussion Thread [Current Event: Mystery Egg]

I really want more story based events. Heres one of mine...Adeku call you up on the livecaster and tells you to meet someplace when you get there he introduces you to lance. lance is investigating some cave that has to do with dragons ....you help him out and then he gives you a rare shiny dragonite its level 10!!!! so its gonna be real strong when you level it up. Also Adeku says he's gonna travel for like a month so lance is gonna fill in for him as champion . so for a whole month you will be able to fight Lance...what do you guys think?

Thanks. :) And now that you mention that, the Victini event came out on the day of BW's Japanese release. I hope everywhere else gets that luxury, haha. But then again, I was looking at some of the HGSS events, and only Japan seems to have gotten them. Not that I really care too much about that Scizor event though, tbh.

I noticed that too that's why I want them to come out here early relative to the release similar to the Japanese versions :)
 
I will try to get all events I can for B/W this Gen. I don't want to miss any more from Dppt and HGSS.
 
Looks like we'll be getting a Kumasyun [little polar bear] over wifi from October 22nd to November 29th. And by we, I mean those with the Japanese games, or ROMs, so... luckily it can be gotten for me in the future. XD

Personally, I don't think it's a good idea for a second event Pokemon, but meh!
 
Not to mention the only thing special about it is it is out of season. When I first heard the news of an event pokemon I thought it would have a move that it usually wouldn't learn or that it would be a unobtainable legendary. I guess this event may set a precedence in the future for season based pokemon.

Serebii just announced that Tabunne will be given away at Japanese Pokemon Centers.

Comes with a Rare candy. Doesn't do or come with anything special, just a nice event.

I think it's only for Japan though since its a give away. :/

Anyway, what do you think... kind of >.>
 
We do have an events thread! This one. :D
Going to edit title to include current event, though~

Seems strange they're giving away non-legendaries at this point, but oh well, we'll wait and see what they come up with next. XD

That's...strange. Why would they give away a relatively common Pokemon (in shaking grass) as an event?
 
I have a hunch! On Serebii, it did say "Pokemon Centre Birthday", or something along those lines for the event description. Maybe it's due to the fact that Tabuune is the giving/caring Pokemon like Chansey, thus is given to you for that reason? D:

Hmm...that's a good reason. I never actually thought about that. I do like the fact that Tabunne has a Rare Candy attached.
 
A new wifi event has been announced for next month!

A new WiFi event has been announced for Black & White. This WiFi event ties in with a special Pokémon Mystery Egg event which ties in with the anime on December 9th and the card game. From December 17th 2010 to January 11th 2011, you will be able to get an Egg off the Nintendo WiFi Connection's Mystery Gift. The Egg will hatch into one of three Pokémon and the Pokémon is random. You can only get one per game. We'll bring details on the Pokémon within the eggs as soon as we can.

Mystery Egg? I have a thought that the three contained could be Yanappu, Boappu and Hiyappu, for some reason.

It's possible that the egg could be any of these Pokemon. Maybe they could have special moves upon hatching? (Yanappu with Power Whip, Boappu with Flare Blitz and Hiyappu with Muddy Water or Water Spout)
 
New WiFi Event

Serebii just update with a new Wifi Event.

Running from December 17th to January 11th, you can get a Mystery Egg from Mystery Gift that will hatch into one of three Pokemon currently unknown.
Whichever Pokemon hatches is completely random.

What do you think will be the three Pokemon?

I want an ingame Zorua/Zoroark event that doesn'y invove preordering tickets and all these difficult tasks!

How come Rioulu was a freebi but zorua is just too special?

I think in the future, after the English games have been released... about a year after, they'll probably offer them over wifi, for those who couldn't get tickets, imo. :x
 
Yes like the SPR2010. They are trying a new trend of Wifi Events over the traditional go to the location and download them via Wireless. Not to say that they won't be downloads on locations any more like VGC events and Movie Events.
