Ever caught any kind of insect?

being the only guy in the house I'm always the one that's gotta catch the various insects that crawl into our home, and there's plenty of them in the desert. It's usually just crickets or something but occasionally it's something real fucked up like a scorpion or tarantula or palo verde beetle.
 
I collected a lot of grasshoppers when I was on holiday. I remember having a jar with like 8 of those guys in it. I never did it extensively though. Whenever I'm on the toilet though, and I feel something move, I feel like I caught a bug with my buttcheeks though.
 
I know someone who collects insects. He catches them, kills them and pierces a pin through them. He had boxes full of all different species each with a name tag next to it. He convinced me to start doing that too (killing them amateurishly in the freezer), but I found soon out it wasn't really my thing.
 
no bugs are gross D: i especially hate moths.
 
I caught butterflies at summer camp, and I once caught a turtle. Not an insect, but it took a lot of time and patience and I felt hella proud.

I remember by my house in elementary there was a big field where a whole bunch of crickets lived, and about once a week a bunch of us would compete to see who could catch the most. I always lost because they'd always jump out of my jar as soon as I tried to put another one in, haha.

Other than that, I remember catching moths, caterpillars, pill bugs, ladybugs, and even an earthworm or two. And just about a week ago I managed to catch a rather large beetle, which somehow found it's way into my house. I kind of wanted to keep it, since it looked cool, but I ended up tossing it back outside since I had nowhere to put it.
