    title says it all. I personally have found all the judges in the tournaments I have been in to be really nice people, but my friend was in one last year that favored the guy she was playing against rather than her );

Any bad stories you'd like to tell?

On the Belgium Championship 2008, i won all the tournaments, but by the last one, i must switch the defending pokemon for win the game. so i retreat, and use warp point, but my opponent call a judge, and that guy say that you don't may retreat and use a warp point i the same turn, so i lose the last game, and don't go to the final 8 (i ending 9th). 2 weeks later, i talk to another judge, and that guy say that you may retreat and use warp point in the same turn, so i search it on the web, and indeed!

So, if that judge don't make a foul, i was maybe the Belgium Champion!!!

Wow, that must have been horrible to find out! I would have been so mad at the judge for calling it.

Yes, indeed, thats the reason that i'm going for my Professor Program, and that i'm now a judge!

I wanted to be in the professor program, but turn out I'm too young ): I'm only 15, so I still have three more yeard left

ugh! Years! I hate putting in typos ):

Friggen' judges took away my first possible tourney win, and only, so far...

    "Celio's Network doesn't let u search 4 Lv.Xs."

Final opponent searches for a Lucario Lv.X with Celio's.

    "Hey! U can't do that."
    "Uh...yes I can."
    "Judge, can he do that?"
    "Yes."
"O__o But earlier today, you said you weren't allowed to."
"Oh, I did? I meant Prof Elm's Training Method."
    "vzcnah;.s u fail galely."

I could have search for a Lv.X the entire time, and I never drew one. I got second place and pulled 2 Venusaur SW from my packs. XP Nothing good. Although my opponent did give me two Pokemon pencils that I keep with me for good luck. =3

Woow! Here's the right answers: LVX-cards don't count for Evolved or basic pokemon, they only counted for Pokemon. So you cant search them with Celio's network, prof Elms training method or Roseannes research, but you can search them with bebe's search.

[late]lol I've since realized... It's even stated in the post...[/late]

    ...

    Oh, wait...

LOL You're a judge? Ever since Diamond/Pearl, whenever a card stated both basic and evolutions on it, it was considered to say "Pokemon" as a reference to all, including Lv.Xs. At WORLDS, Celio could search his li'l butt off for all the Lv.Xs he could search for and gladly put them in everyone's hand. Just so ya know. lol

Lol, that's exactly what it says in the rulebook.

XD spatsman prolly wasn't a judge in the 2008-2009 season. If you were, you'd prooly had read the NEW DP FORMAT CHANGE!

    The Compendium said:
    Q. Can I use Celio's Network to search my deck for a Pokémon LV.X?
    A. Yes, you can. Earlier card references of "Basic Pokémon or Evolution card" refers to Pokémon in general, which includes Pokémon LV.X. (May 10, 2007 PUI Rules Team)

    My; aren't we updated.

In that case, is there any reason to have Bebe Search in your deck instead of Ceilo's Network? Without having to give up a card, Celio's Network seems better in every way.

Celio's Network is not legal for the Modified format, which is what official tournaments use, such as City Championships and Worlds. Currently, sets from Diamond & Pearl through Platinum: Arceus are allowed to be used in these tournaments. Celios Network was in EX: FireRed/LeafGreen and EX: Crystal Guardians, both of which are not legal for tournament play. Of course, you can still use them for fun games.

Anyway, to get back on track, I personally haven't had any problems with judges.

You have to discard both Double Colorless Energy for Base Set Charizard! You have to! Grrrrrr!

    Nnnnrrnrghh!

Can't you judges and people understand the word "Card." "You must discard 2 Energy Cards."

    Grraaaaaaaaaah.

...Ick, that brought up some terrible memories.

if an attack say 2 energy cards, then can that also be 2 double colores energy cards. also with retreat, you must discard that many cards (so if a pokemon have 3 retreat cost, you must discard 3 enrgy CARDS)

I was once in a tournament, and I saw Adam Corn stack his deck. He got banned for about 5 months of gameplay, and nobody ever stacked like him before :D.

So thats why I nevr go too play at tournamnet agen. If I got mistakenly caught for stacking, I wold by discualifayed.

To avoid being "mistakenly caught stacking," offer your opponent to cut your deck. If they refuse, you can at least say you offered...

(BTW, if you somehow don't know what cutting a deck is, it's separating it in to two piles by picking up a chunk from the top, and placing it beneath the leftover cards.)

Noe, I cant led my oponent cut muy dek. If he/she dos that, I will get caut staking.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL So you stack your deck? !=D Just don't stack it and let your opponent cut it. If they look at it, call a judge after telling them they can't.
